Paddy was great. The tour was excellent. Took us to places I would have never gone. Food was great. Do not miss White duck taco. The tacos are very unique and delicious.

We took Stu's Food Fan Tour this past Friday and loved it. It's a great way to get a sampling of the Asheville food scene, including some places we might not otherwise have checked out.
Stu's a great guide that clearly puts a lot of thought and time into the tour, evolving it as new places open, while making sure you never go hungry or thirsty. He is clearly known and respected in Asheville, and has a good rapport with all the chefs. When one attendee mentioned they were still hungry at the end of the tour, he even bought us all pizza to cap it off.
The food itself was all delicious, with the standout being a brisket sandwich from The Underground Cafe. Again, you definitely get the vibe that everyone cares about and enjoys helping make this tour excellent.

We took a "Food FansFoot Tour" with Stu on Easter Sunday. We did a Wonderful Chicago food tour last year and Stu exceeded that one by a mile. We made 8 stops with nice size portions at each, with alcohol included in many of the stops. Stu is passionate about food- it's quite obvious he know his stuff.
The food we had at each location was wonderful, the chef would tell us about the food we were eating and how it was prepared. We felt we really got our money's worth, we were stuffed by the 6 stop, but that did not stop us from finishing up the last two. Walk lasted 3 3/4 hour. Highly recommend this tour.

Our excellent guide, Paddy, led us on a 4 hour culinary adventure through downtown Asheville. Throughout the tour, he also explained history and architecture of the area. Stopped at EIGHT restaurants/foodie stops:
1. Modesto Wood Fire Kitchen — surprisingly delicious fish cake with Caesar salad (and Italian white wine)
2. Chocolate Fetish — some of the best chocolate I have ever had with a tour of chocolate making process (see separate review)
3. Blue Dream — masala curry (with local beer) — very good
4. Blackbird — unbelievably yummy fried Brussels sprouts that all 4 of us devoured Despite being Brussels sprouts haters (with white wine).
5. White Duck Tacos — Bangkok shrimp tacos (sounds weird but tastes good). They kindly accommodated our shrimp hater by subbing black beans and cheese)
6. Social Lounge — buttercup cocktail (YUM!) and delicious grilled ravioli from Strada
7. Farm Burger — slider with fries and root beer (our least favorite stop)
8. Asheville Bee Charmer - yummy honey (see separate review of it)
We were so full that we did not want dinner that night. WONDERFUL TOUR AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
