We've wanted to stay at the Fairmont San Francisco for quite some time, having previously stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba & Fairmont Del Mar. Well, our wish came true during an impromptu couples' trip this past March! From the moment we arrived at the top of Nob Hill, we were astounded at the grandness of the lobby. Seriously, it's magnificent. Julie at the front desk was an absolute joy as she welcomed us, surprised us with one of their brand new "mezzanine" rooms, and sent up a delicious chocolate treat to our room! About that room......FIVE STAR LUXURY at its finest. The most comfortable pillowtop mattress we've ever slept in, the softest sheets, and of course, those Le Labo toiletries!! Food at Laurel Court, coffee at Caffe Cento, and drinks at the Tonga Room were all delicious as well. Incredible housekeeping services, a location adjacent to two different cable car stops, and on and on and on. And Julia at the front desk check-out was a pleasure as we (reluctantly) checked-out. Haha. What else can I say other than A) we cannot wait to return & B) book the Fairmont San Francisco the next time you want the ultimate luxury experience in SF!!

Room Tip: Ask for one the new "mezzanine" rooms off the lobby. You won't be disappointed!!

This hotel is impressive from the get-go. The service is great, you have people taking your bags and parking your car, and you walk into the lobby which is HUGE (something that is kind of surprising in San Fransisco when everything else seems so cramped together in comparison).

Our rooms were lovely and I definitely recommend having a wander around and checking out the rooftop (great for some family pics).

The 'secret' hula bar in the basement is an experience too. We only went there for one drink as it was verrrryyyy expensive and busy but we stayed to see the show which was pretty creative. It basically creates a storm inside (there's a pool in the middle and the band floats on a boat on it and there's rain and thunder and flashing lights). The band were really good and it was a nice atmosphere.

It's also in a fab location. Just slightly down the hill is a tram stop for one of the retro trams, and if you fancy it you could just carry on walking down the hill to the Bay area anyway (about 20-30 minutes but you see sights on the way). Wasn't expensive getting Uber's back in the evening.

If you have a chance to go here you HAVE to. It makes you feel like royalty.

Spent 2nd day of my mini honeymoon in SF, front desk lady is awesome and gave us an upgrade to a better room with a view, very cool but last of good thing. Restaurant Laurel poor dinner service, bed was uncomfortable and no free WiFi and when I bought it, drops overall it’s alright but won’t go back.

Our company held annual recognition and awards show here witb Masonic Theater across street. After party at Fairmont. It was spectacular and very elegant. Open bar service was first class and heavy appetizers were delicious. Beautiful location near historic tourist spots.

Recently spent two nights preceding a cruise. The hotel is lovely and has a very interesting history. Location is good, but is not near most tourist/sightseeing attractions. VERY hilly walk to anything of interest or to restaurants left us feeling a bit isolated. Taxi or public transport needed to visit any other city landmarks. Service was good, particularly concierge services. Food in lobby restaurant was okay, although pricey. Did not care for the Tonga Room---dark and crowded. The hotel is scene of many special events, so was very busy. Room was on the small side for the price but was well appointed.
