Dianda's has been on Mission St, serving slices of delicious cakes and pastries as long as I can remember. Every cake is unique, and beautiful, including traditional St. Honore cakes, and more. Stepping into their store is a step back in time. I hope this bakery continues to delight cake lovers in SF for years to come.

Get the pound cake!!!! Its thick, buttery rich and moist! There was a line and approximately 15 min wait on Christmas day as everyone was trying to get the bakery’s famous Tres Leches cake.

The only reason they didn’t get a 5 travel advisor dot was because the wedding cookies were $19.95/lb. Desserts
at this bakery was a bit pricey but the locals swear it’s very much worth it!

The $8 pound cake was definitely worth it!

There isn't a separate location review option for the Dianda's bakery in San Mateo (on De Anza Blvd in the Crystal Springs Shopping Village) but I'm gonna sing their praises anyway. This bakery is the best place i have ever been. Their almond torte is famous for a reason. All the cakes I have had from here are just perfection. And by far one of the best things about Dianda's is that you can get cake by personal portions. Truly a local gem and I wouldn't go anywhere else when I need a delicious cake.

Round up a perfect lunch at La Taqueria with a dessert and espresso stop at this Italian-American establishment.
The dessert choices are mind-boggling and if the cannolis were anything to go by, all the choices are likely to be exquisite.
I even scored two packets of Sicilian torrone to take as gifts -- hard to come by even in northern Italy.

I fell in love with the torte but now add a variety of cookies and other amazing baked goods. I frequently bring the torte as a hostess gift when I am visiting others. I always stop when in the neighborhood. Love the taqueria next door too. The best of both worlds!
