One of the good stops not to be missed in San Francisco! Tranquil, peaceful setting to enjoy the views and architecture

The Palace of Fine Arts is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. The grounds are often the venue for wedding photographs. Besides the stunning architecture of the main building, there are sculptures, Corinthian style columns, a magnificent dome, a lake and wildlife. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited on a beautiful sunny day and all the wildlife in and nearby the big pond were all out and about. Was great to see them all bathing in the sun. But the buildings themselves were so very impressive and just beautiful to look at. Take your time, there’s plenty of places to sit and relax and admire the building.

The place is along 101 north, it’s worth stopping by when crossing the Golden Gate Bridge! There’s enough parking by the side and great views for picture taking!

This is a wonderful historic outside park. The building was beautiful. It is very close to the view of Golden Gate bridge. This is a great stop to include on a walking tour of the city.
