Hotel location is good near to city centre and if you love swimming matapang beach is just at the back of the hotel. It has also a swimming pool located at the fifth floor.it is also accessible to public transportation the pick up and drop off of passenger from tram is across the hotel. The room is always clean although its kinda old.

This is NOT a resort. I've stayed at better motels. The fixtures are old and in a tropical climate like Guam, fixtures should be updated since they rust and mold. There were no wash cloths, only hand towels. Also, the pillows were extremely hard. The pillows didn't conform to your head or body at all. There was only two flat sheets used on the bed and a very thin fleece blanket. The best thing about this place is the location. It's right on one of my favorite beaches in Guam and conveniently located to everything you'll need. For the price, I would be willing to pay a little more for a more comfortable stay. Seriously, this is like a cheap motel with a resort price.

Room tip: Bring your own wash cloth/loofah.

this resort is a pretty old resort . we looked at the photos and chose it bcz it seemed that the rooms are big and the pool is big. the rooms are indeed large BUT have no amenities at all not even a water boiler for tea or coffee , no fridge nothing. the bathroom is simple and you can see its worn down. there are reusable bottle with shampoo etc (at least no plastic waste ) but during a 4 night stay no one filled it up. we had to chase housekeeping to come and clean it. the lobby is huge and the floors are incredibly dirty. the pool is not big at all. there is parking onsite and the best thing about this place is the california kitchen restaurant. defiantly not worth over 100 usd a night. and without breakfast

I will definitely go back to Guam and stay in this Hotel again. Location is perfect for tourists specially if with families. The rooms are big and there are restaurants, even a church nearby. You can walk to KMart which is open 24 hours to shop. The beach behind the hotel is very clean and nice. Even in the early morning or late afternoons you can stroll by the beach. Buses for tourists ply by the hotel every 30 minutes and there are many taxis you can hire anytime. The staff of the hotel are very friendly too.

This is a much older hotel but it is functional. It is not right on the beach (beachfront) as advertised, but behind an apartment building, although there is a view of the ocean from some rooms. Fixtures in the room are old and rusted and need an upgrade soon. The tea/coffee, milk & sugar sachets were kept in a bowl at reception and not in the room. No choice for tea drinkers - only green tea was available. Very limited choice in the room service menu and they do not serve guests after 9pm, which is quite early and most other restaurants around close at 10pm. The beds were alright but the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Not appropriate for a good nights sleep after a tiring day.

Our main bone of contention was with the man handling the travel service desk at the lobby. He was very rude & did not seem to want to or be capable of helping hotel guests. When we inquired about renting cars from the hotel accredited car hire (we were 2 families travelling together and were looking to rent mustang convertibles) he became agitated, called us "crazy" and insisted we go for cheaper cars!!! He refused to offer any suggestions for local shows, tours or restaurants claiming everything in Guam was "too expensive". We did rent Mustangs later that day, by ourselves, from Hertz and we asked around for local restaurants and hang outs that we could try, and got quite a few good suggestions. However, your hotel guest services person is definitely NOT GOOD for your hotel business. It would help to have someone more pleasing, helpful and competent at your hotel, who offers guests all the possible options for tours, shows/clubs and local restaurants and then leaves it to the guest to decided whether it is suitable for them or not!

For two families who have travelled a lot, this was a very average hotel and not value for money

Where do I begin? This "resort" is definitely not a resort. Its expensive to even be considered a budget hotel.
Check in staff was friendly enough but that was the only good thing about this place. 3 minute walk to the beach. Rooms were spacious but gross. Parking is a risk outside the tiny parking garage and inside.

Saw so many public health violations.

My husband I stayed for 5 days (4 nights) in a partial ocean view room and I was expecting a terrible view. Sure enough I got the backside view of abandoned buildings and overgrown jungle.

Our shower soap wasn't filled when we first entered. They were half empty bottles and when the cleaning staff came up to fill our soap bottles she wasn't even wearing shoes. She wore socks and slippers. Yikes! (All the the other staff in the morning/night the following days had shoes)

Our room smelled horrible, just like the entire hotel. Wet carpet with mold and mildew smell that had been sitting there for years. Aircon vents were dusty and moldy and had signs of water damage. My husband and I ended up catching a nasty cold by the end of our trip due and i'm sure its because of the mold.

Carpets were stained everywhere. Upon first entering we knew the staff hadn't even vacuumed the room because there were still candy and food on the floor between the bed and the night stand from the visitors before us. Lamps were all old, dusty, and rusty. Clock was old and outdated. The only new thing in that room was the tv because the mini fridge and water boiler were just as old as the clock.

Elevators were absolutely horrifying! They rattled and shook and made loud noises all the way up and down. Some of the buttons were broken. I swear we cheated death every time we exited.

Beds were also worn down and old. We have back aches from the poor support.
Walls and halls are paper thin and door slamming was a common issue. We also had the misfortune of being placed next to a young japanese group of guys and girls because we had to call front desk multiple times to get them to stop shouting and screaming at night.

Cleaning staff are obnoxiously loud in the morning shouting and laughing and screaming at one another. I often looked outside my room multiple times to catch staff quickly trying to hide they were being loud and trying to hide their smiles. Saw them cleaning rooms without gloves and touching new bed sheets (of course you see this when you are walking by). Gross. Even nastier hotels use gloves (mandatory with public health laws). We chose not to let them clean our room in fear of cross contamination from another room.

We were so sleep deprived no thanks to this hotel.

If this hotel really cared about their customers they'd invest in renovating and updating their rooms to make it more habitable. They need to invest in training their housekeeping staff on how to clean and conduct themselves properly.

I've stayed at hotels and resorts much cheaper than this place and they had better service and quality. Holiday Resort is a joke!

Do not come to this hotel. Its a waste of your money. There should not have been so many problems with this place at all. I booked the reservation through the actual holiday resort guam webpage and the photos were a lie. I feel pretty much cheated of our vacation. I'm extremely disappointed in this place. If you want this hotel use booking sites like tripadvisor, agoda, booking, trivago to save $100-$200 off your stay here.
