Hotel is in a great location, North Shore is very authentic place, wilh lots of choices of local food, food trucks, big waves, lots of rain and strong wind. Windows dont open, no balconies, dark room, old AC with a sound and smell like old room. Very uncomfortable mattress. For a short stay in North Shore, could be an option, but not for a vacation choice. Ocean across the road, but no designated arranged area or benefits of being a guest at this hotel. Service is friendly, but no option to get a plate or knife from the restsurant to cut fruits. They only gave plastic knife. Had to move to different hotel to make sure the vacation is not destroyed. Couldnt sleep well at all.

I felt the genuine Aloha spirit as soon as we walked in. The girls at the front desk greeted us and pleasantly made sure they acknowledged us even though they were already taking care of other guest. Watching them doing everything possible to accommodate the guest they were assisting missing no details I knew we were going to enjoy our stay here. The leis and chocolates were a nice surprise but the actual mini tour was the kicker. They made sure we knew where everything was located and showing us the easiest way to navigate through their hotel.
Their entire staff were so pleasant and helpful but I believe that the way they interacted with each other it was obvious they really enjoyed what they did and loved who they worked for. There was a quote that went something like this, "If you take care of your employees they will take care of you". I believe that the way the leadership treats and takes care of their employees the customers are the ones that truly reap the rewards. We will definitely be back again.Thank you for a wonderful experience.

There is no competition up here, or this hotel would be in trouble. We paid $922 for 3 nights in January for a room with a king bed, an old uncomfortable sofa, a desk, small coffee pot, and a tiny refrigerator (no microwave). Add another $45 for parking in the lot outside for 3 nights. For $330 + a night, we got ugly old green carpet, a comfortable bed, one window that doesn’t open, a remodeled clean bathroom with a large walk in shower and 3 towels,—but only enough hot water for my husband’s short shower. Then wait a half hour and try for another shower with tepid water.

Housekeeping knocked at our door the first day at 9:00 am and wanted to make up the room. We were just getting ready to leave and we said “we will be gone in 5 minutes.” We returned at 2:00 and the room was not made up. We located housekeeping and gave her our garbage and asked for some coffee packets. Can’t tell you yet about the next two days.

We have not eaten here or gone to the pool, so can’t comment.

Thus was maybe comparable to a Quality or Comfort Inn that charged $150 for prime location, — but a very basic Marriott for $330 a night! Terrible value. It’s primarily food truck eating in the area which can be fun.

One Friday night in North Shore before checking into our main stay hotel, so decided to use Marriott. It’s okay if you’re on business, but there’s little pleasure to be found in this hotel. The rooms are generous, but lack any human influence and the total lack of toiletries in the bathroom astound me. A mini bar of soap for your shower sir? Oh and by the way the $300 we’re charging you will also come with a parking charge of $15. Talk about miss the point of hospitality!

Marriott need to learn about customer experience and fast. The world is moving on from these tired 90’s over priced hotels who under value the customer and believe that fried food worthy of a transit centre can be served at a coffee counter as some quasi bistro.

This place is terrible. Over priced and without any sense customer value for money. The only time I’ll set foot in a Marriott is if it’s business booked by someone else.

Room tip: Don’t stay here go find an independent option.

We spent 3 nights during our 3 weeks here. Rooms were rather big. 2 queens, sofa and chair with ottoman. Nice big shower. We were able to check in a bit early which was nice. Pretty pool area and nice but small hot tub. Beach access is almost directly across the street. The beach area has a lot of rock and was pretty rough. We went in to jump the waves- didn’t stay as long as intended as one of our party got a blue bottle jellyfish sting. Hotel was very accommodating to us - they kept 2 bags of fridge goods for us as our room was not initially ready. We heard from others rooms were not ready on time that day although as I said we got in early. Free use of pool towels. Nice brief stop.
