Enjoyed this. We only had a brief stop but we still saw a number of aquatic birds wading around. It was twilight which may have made a difference. We've been coming to Maui for 40 years and we think the boardwalk makes a nice addition to an otherwise rather bleak looking area. The green sea turtles do lay eggs here on the beach at certain times of the year but at other time you have a better chance of seeing the (honu) turtles around the rocks and underwater while snorkelling.

Pretty walk and surroundings with descriptions for kids. Not much to see though and done in 20 minutes.

This is a gentle walk of relative short duration for young kids & Family. One can also walk back on the beach as there are a few assess points. No washroom facilities. Good history on the indigenous bird & fish life, with the introduction of other species. The Sand Plug of the pond is very interesting, in how it provides a nursery for small fish. However with the introduction of tilapia by man, once again this species is eradicating the local species. Volunteers are doing a great job, once again of keeping this a viable & informative attraction. Bring a hat & fluids!

Excellent place to go for a walk at sunrise or sunset. Lots of bird life and a beautiful beach as well. Nice and quiet in the morning.

not huge numbers of birdlife when we were there, but some variety--stilts, coots, egret, mallard, some hawaiian names I didn't retain. Beautiful craftwork on the boardwalk and gazebos, easy to take lots of photos. Also saw some of it one morning, birds more plentiful
