Such a great experience. The hotel feels so remote and private, like a proper retreat. At the same time it's a part of a local neighborhood and it's conveniently located to explore the National Park, Puna and Hilo. It's also eco friendly while being ultra comfortable. The best of both worlds! The vegan breakfast was so delicious. We didn't even know it was vegan! We loved our stay so much we extended by an extra night. Thanks for everything Gaby and Tony!More

What a lovely, peaceful oasis. The bungalows are minimalistic and eco friendly but luxurious, like, with all the creatures comfort. Amazing king bed (6ft2 here, love big beds)!! The hot tub was perfect to soak in after a day of exploring the volcanoes park. The mornings, we had the gourmet vegan breakfast, who knew vegan food can be so hearty! Gaby and Tony also gave us great local food tips for the rest of the island which resulted in some very memorable meals. And Sushi is such a delightful little pup, we miss her already! 5+ stars to the hospitality&atmosphere!!
The accommodations are unique and beautifully quaint. I spent a lot of time in the hot tub! The breakfast is artistically presented and delicious. Tony and Gaby (and Sushi) are delightful. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you need a little zen in your life!
We had such a wonderful stay here! If you are looking for an off the beaten path luxury stay, this is the place. The owners are very accommodating and make a mean breakfast that will fill you up til dinner. The bungalows offer a good amount of privacy and there’s beautiful grounds to relax outside and chat. Not far from the Hawaii volcano national park.
Just spent the night at the volcano eco retreat and it was beyond amazing! From the moment we arrived, the owners were so welcoming and helpful. They are so good at hosting and make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The bungalow was extremely clean and taken care of. There is also a hot tub, bath robes and yoga matts that they supply. It’s so cozy inside plus it’s quiet and beautiful! When we woke up they served us with an amazing breakfast that is fresh and made from scratch. I would highly recommend booking here!! We will absolutely be back.
Went here with my mother a couple of weeks ago and stayed for two nights. It was a great experience! We would definitely do it again.
The property is very much off the beaten path—approx. a 10-15 minute drive to nearest restaurant or supermarket. It is safe and secluded as there is a gated entrance you cannot surpass without a code and there are cameras on the premises as well.
The food here was fabulous: I am not vegan by any means but my mother is and the food was still enjoyable for both of us. Gaby and Tony are very experimental with their cooking and what they serve and they will go far out of their way to make sure their guests’ dietary needs are catered to. The pictures attached don’t do it justice!
In terms of amenities, there’s a nice hammock to lay in, a hot tub, and of course, Sushi the sweet Chihuahua mix is on the property ready to give guests lots of love and kisses. As dog lovers, she was a blessing to have around!
Overall a very clean and remote environment, definitely good for those looking for a retreat from the hustle and bustle. Would recommend this place to anybody.
