We stayed in one of their cabins. It's down the street from the main building but very walkable in town. 10 minute walk to the square and when you're splitting a cabin between two couples, very affordable. Full kitchen, washer / dryer and 1.5 baths. Cozy spot near the river and quite nice.
The only minor downside in our cabin was the king bed was really two twins pushed together. Good when you have parents and two children staying. It wasn't so good when you have two couples staying. I see the point from Alpine's point of view. That reminded me of the way a cruise ship makes a king bed.
Note with the cabins, you do not get breakfast at the lodge. Go to Persephone Bakery. You'll thank me.
We made it through, no problem. I would definitely stay there again.More
