I but this is the place in the summer. So much do on your own beach. We stayed for 3 nights and don't really have any complaints. Michela at the front desk was super sweet and helpful. The hallways do smell a little but its an older motel. the room is clean and it is clear they are working on remodeling. The bathrooms are remodeled. We went back on forth about other places to stay but I am glad we choose Beach Harbor. Cant wait to visit in the summer!

Our room smelled terribly! The room was clean though. Beach area is nice and I did like the walk to the Potawatomi State Park. Restaurant has good food. But they really need to upgrade the rooms and get the horrible smell out.

This hotel is conveniently located on the water front. Clean and reasonably priced, very friendly staff who were very helpful with suggestions of restaurants. Restaurant onsite has amazing fish chowder and a beautiful water view. The hotel is right down the road from Potawatomi State Park, where we enjoyed a gorgeous and peaceful hike. Highly recommend if you are just looking for a casual place to stay in this area.

What time we were actually at the resort we enjoyed. Kimberly was an awesome bartender and Jenna was very friendly and helpful even though she wasn't our waitress! Everything at the resort is not perfect by any means but its a very relaxed atmosphere! We enjoyed some live music Sunday evening and watching the fish boil!

We stayed two nights at Beach Harbor Resort. There were a couple of things not good with this property, but a few very good things, which is why I gave them two stars instead of one. The good, which was very good: We decided to try their fish boil. It was fabulous. Everything was cooked beautifully, was very tasty and hard to finish as the serving was more than ample. Picture below. The room was much larger than we expected and very comfortable. For once, there was a correct TV guide with the remote, which worked perfectly unlike many places we have stayed at. The bed was very comfortable. Now for the bad. Both in the listing online, and in our confirmation from the hotel itself it stated that breakfast was included. Upon arrival, we discovered it was not “Due to the coronavirus”. Ok - but do NOT say in the reservation that it is included. Have a disclaimer in the reservation, but do not state that it is included if it is not. To make things worse, they said that “There are several restaurants close by” that have breakfasts. We searched for over an hour, finding only closed restaurants due to the virus. A kind lady pointed us to one that was not only open, but extremely good. I will review them later. The blinds could not be closed completely. We did the best we could, but there was a 2-3 inch gap wide open at the bottom of one of the blinds. We were gone all day our one full day in town. We arrived back at the hotel to find that the room had been untouched. No wastebaskets emptied, the coffee maker still had used grounds and old coffee in it, the bed not made, etc. The maid NEVER walked into that room. This is inexcusable. I have NEVER, in any hotel of any ilk have the maid not go in. Even in the one I rated one star several years ago, the maid had at least made up the room. This MUST be fixed. There were electrical sockets everywhere in the room except one critical place - where the coffee pot was located. Photo included We had to move the coffee pot to the end table next to the bed., where there were eight. Yes EIGHT sockets located. Why was the one near the coffee pot plated over? As I said - a mixed bag.
