Neat, hands-on experience for kids in the lower level, with plenty of details about Port's harbor history.

This museum is an odd mix of a maritime museum on the lower level and photographs and film of the Green Bay Packers on levels 2 & 3 and is suitable for all ages. The top floor features an outdoor patio extended out like the prow of a ship giving you a wonderful view of Lake Michigan. There are plenty of interactive exhibits; the maritime level is especially entertaining with video lessons on sailing, various types of ships and underwater tours of shipwrecks, to name just a few. The Packer photos are part of the collection of team photographer Vernon Biever, a Port Washington native; they even have his actual dark room on display. The Port Washington Historical Society also runs the 1860 Light Station Museum, they do offer a discount if you wish to tour both on the same day. The Exporeum offer self-directed tours, the 1860 Light Station is docent led (well worth the trip.)
