“Animals Inside Out exhibit through April is a bargain at $5”

We made a special trip to Milwaukee to see the Animals Inside Out exhibit which is inside the Milwaukee Zoo through April 2018. They've actually extended the exhibit and cut the price to just $5/person, which is a great deal. We've done the Body Worlds exhibits two or three times, and while they're much bigger, they're also much more expensive, so the $5 admission here is really good. Of course, you have to get into the zoo first, so there's that expense (and parking at the zoo is $12, so it all adds up!) At any rate, the Animals Inside Out exhibit took us less than an hour, was not as detailed as the human Body Worlds exhibits, but was definitely worth $5.

The zoo itself was great, too - we have a membership at another zoo closer to home, and that membership gave us reciprocal privileges which made the day more affordable, but we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

I grew up visiting this zoo and have spent many, many days here with my own young children. The train! The carousel! The ice cream over by the petting zoo! We adopted Thumb... and visited him every time we made our loop around the whole park. So very family friendly, at all times of year, not just the best ones for the zoo, in spring and fall.

The Milwaukee County Zoo was very nice. We walked the whole zoo in about 5 hours with a short stop for lunch. I am not a fast walker in these types of places so it was a nice leisurely pace.

The animals seemed well taken care of and the zoo was clean. There were benches sporadically around which was nice also for small breaks.

We would definitely go back.

My family travels regularly and we attempt to visit the local zoo whenever possible. This zoo ranks at the top in all categories. Admission is fair. Parking is a tad steep but worth it. Food and gifts are at the expected range. The buildings and enclosures are top notch. The animals must receive a lot of enrichment because they were all super active. I felt I was closer to most of the animals compared with other facilities I have visited. We had a great time.

The Milwaukee Zoo is a gorgeous zoo, with large wooded paths and huge animal sanctuaries. Go in summer as the winter quarters are very limited. Bring water and great walking shoes, as the zoo is absolutely huge. The animal habitats are very natural, and the animals have lots of room - their habitats are meticulously maintained and are kept updated. It's such a great family attraction and the Zoo Pass is a great deal as it pays for itself in just two visits.
