We really wanted to love this hotel, but while it was nice enough, it was not outstanding. The staff members —- all very nice people —— were not particularly knowledgeable or, in some instances, competent.

On the positive side, the location is fantastic. The rooms in the tower are nice and the windows can be opened. The Keurig coffee maker is handy and the bed and pillows comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small with just one sink. We took a look at one of the rooms in the historic part of the hotel, and they are in need of a major spiff up so a tower room is the best choice.

On the downside, parking is overpriced, there are not enough elevators to handle all the guests when the hotel is busy & the refrigerators in the rooms are so noisy we had to unplug ours.

All that said, it is clearly the best hotel in Milwaukee and the lobby is magnificent. The ballroom on the 7th floor where the Sunday brunch was held was also quite beautiful. It is a great historic hotel that just needs to spend some time training staff and upping their game just a bit.

The Pfister is one of the elite hotels in the United States in my opinion.

It brings out the finest of the old with a sprinkling of the new. You immediately know that you're in for a treat when you walk into the lobby. The staff is outstanding! Service is impeccable!

Absolutely, Historically, AMAZING! the interior Is done old fashioned, it truly is like walking into the Haunted Mansion, or Hollywood Tower of Terror. A total time warp but with the most hospitable people I have ever met. Wonderful Service, Wonderful Staff, Wonderful Décor. Absolutely will be back.

Booked this hotel last minute and got a great deal. The hotel is stunning. Ornate detail goes into every little thing (even the door knobs in the bathrooms are gorgeous). The staff was superb. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. It's in a great location within a 15 minute walk of the Discovery World, the Fest fair grounds, 3rd Ward, Shopping, Riverwalk, Parks, etc. I would absolutely stay here again.

On top of its extensive and obvious history, is the intriguing stories of this lavish hotel being haunted!
Well lit and beautiful in every way, this place only intimidated by its overall stateliness.
That being said- no one helps you with bags and I'm pretty sure the dude checking me in was checking Facebook as I waited!
Otherwise loved it!
