I’ve always been hesitant of mom & pop motels because there’s no formal expectations of cleanliness and upkeep. Kudos to the Parkside Inn for hitting my mark!
Very nice and helpful front desk staff and all the key things we look for - clean room, strong air conditioning and water pressure along with a microwave and fridge (bonus mini freezer!). In addition, our car was parked 10 steps away from our door!
The TV was very small, but not a huge issue in a place like Door County.

I give it a 3, rooms were dark and dingy. I asked for a second floor room and did not get it. Got a very lukewarm welcome upon arrival. We could walk to the beach which was nice. Nearby restaurants were a not great. We went into Sister Bay for dinner and shopping.
Cute small, quiet, and affordable place with friendly staff! Very clean even though furniture was older. We loved being able to sit outside at night on the many chairs available outside our room while our kids were asleep. Very good location across from the park and beach and near parks/restaurants. Pretty landscaping and feel. Will definitely be back again!! Maybe will grill next time! Awesome!
if you are looking for a CLEAN QUIET stay in door county this is the place has to be the cleanest room I have stayed in and it was so quiet and peaceful just a short walk to the beach access across the road
The Parkside was very budget friendly, and since we wouldn't be spending much time here, fit our needs perfectly. Like most of the older motels, it was simple and reminiscent of earlier times. The room was clean and everything worked well. It was easy to access for restaurants and the beach was a short walk away, giving the opportunity to have dinner nearby and then go to the beach to watch the sunset. Recommend for those who aren't looking for all the amenities of those more costly hotels.
The Inn is easy to find, right on the main drag. Not much is within walking distance. The room was large and clean. Other reviewers have mentioned a bad smell. We didn't notice that, but something in the air of the room created much nasal congestion for me. The air conditioning helped, though it was loud. Not a good night's sleep at all. Breakfast was minimal.
