“A real curio shop!”
Review of Millard Museum

Millard Museum
Reviewed 18 January 2017

The Millard Museum also know as the Dinosaur shop or Taxidermy shop at the 4 way stop of A and O is rarely open, depending on the owners level of energy. If you happen to drive by and see an open sign, stop in and you will find much to see and hopefully hear as the owner describes the various objects in the collections of this and that! There is a jar for donations!

Picture an 1837 general store building with animals displayed in the front window. You enter & to your left are deer, pronghorn sheep, birds & fish preservations as well as numerous arrowheads. To your right are dinosaur bones. Jim Boyd, proprietor, is in the rear of the building. If you have a bit of time, please engage this gentleman. You will not be sorry. A self-taught taxidermist, self-taught archaeologist, photographer & artist, Mr Boyd has so many interesting memories & stories to share. My husband & I found this museum on a road tripper app. While we were talking with Mr Boyd, a family came in as well as a neighbor who had never stopped in. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit! I recommend this small museum & its founder wholeheartedly!!
