My grandson went here on a field trip with his class. It was his 6th birthday. The children were permitted to feed hay to fully grown pigs and my grandson was BITTEN on his thumb by a hog called Piggy Smalls!! Another boy had his shirt bitten and torn by the same pig! Both incidents happened at the same time! DANGEROUS & DIRTY!

The fruits at Green Bluff were picked as green as those in our local Coeur D Alene markets which causes them to rot from the center out. Why should I drive all the way to Green Bluff to pay as much or more for the same thing I can buy, in many cases, cheaper than at Green Bluff? It just is not cost effective to do that.

First- the drive out there was beautiful ! The fall orange and gold leaves were so beautiful, the fields were brown and billowy and the sky was blue!
The pick your own fruit option was our first - apples, apples and apples ! The plums and pears were absolutely delicious !
We then ventured to all the food trucks and merchant stalls - the pumpkin donut had an hour line wait so we went inside their store and ordered the Apple pie ala mode and warm cider with caramel - delicious !!! Loved the combination! Other choices for families would be the corn maze, jumpy houses and hamster balls - all had to have a paid admission fee.
We drove to the next orchard and fell in love with pumpkins on the vines,
Tomatoes, cucumber and more pear trees! The abundance of fruits and vegetables ready to be picked is out there ! If you love fall - visit Green Bluff !

Love all the orchards you can visit. Lots of family activities to participate in. Love picking fruit that tastes fresh off the tree.
Harvest house has incredible fruit pies and pastries.

This is a great area to come most times of the year. Different farms have different types of produce you can either pick yourself or purchase already picked. There are tree farms as well for Christmas. A bonus is leaving the city behind and just driving in a beautiful, country setting on winding roads. A lot of the farms have a Facebook page so you can find out when the different produce is available.
