Owner description: The Cascadian Home Farm is nestled in the foothills of the breathtaking North Cascades mountain range. This 28-acre farm in western Washington's Upper Skagit Valley is the birthplace of the Cascadian Farm portfolio of delicious organic foods. At the Cascadian Home Farm, we grow our crops and protect the local ecosystem using sustainable organic methods. Today our fields are producing mostly fresh blueberries, but we also farm organic strawberries, raspberries, hardy kiwis, peppers, corn and pumpkins. During the summer, our Roadside Stand is open daily - so you can plan a road trip and stop in for a pint of our fresh, seasonal berries or homemade organic ice cream. Trust us, the scenery is beautiful, and the food can't be beat! We've also got luscious shortcakes, preserves and delicious organic snacks. You'll be glad you made the trip.

This is a fun place to stop if you are interested in organic vegetables, blueberries and organic ice-cream. They have tables under shade trees and clean restrooms. We had the blueberry ice-cream, coming and going to and from our final destination. Bottomline this is a great place to take a breath from a long drive.

I cross over the North Cascade Hiway frequently to visit on the west side. I always stop here. Plenty of parking, nice restroom, picnic tables, and beautiful flowers. You can go out and pick your own berries, they are also for sale inside. They have coffee, fresh veggies. My favorite which is what I always stop for is their own homemade ice cream. Great friendly service. Some weekends are a little busy.

The little farm stand on the north side of Hiway 20 in Rockport, WA is a must do. The food is local, fresh and organic. Most of it is from their organic farm down the road in Sedro Wooley, WA. The portions are really generous. Try the berry short cake. You may choose from a variety of berries. Add a scoop of super creamy ice cream from a variety of flavors. As a bonus you can walk through their gardens and stretch your legs after travelling. And there are nice, clean restrooms available.

My wife would migrate here in her early years to work here. We stopped by to relive her memories. We toured the organic farm and it was a beautiful view.

We came back west down Highway 20 after a few hours hiking the Cascade Pass Trail in North Cascades National Park. My 11 and 13 year olds saw the sign saying "Organic Ice Cream" and we were sold. Great roadside relaxation spot, perfectly placed on your trip back down to I-5, tasty ice cream, great scenery. Also was happy to support Cascadian Farm as we have enjoyed many of their products in the past. If we hadn't already picked 10 pounds of berries the week before we may well have headed into their blueberry patch too.
