Owner description: The Cascadian Home Farm is nestled in the foothills of the breathtaking North Cascades mountain range. This 28-acre farm in western Washington's Upper Skagit Valley is the birthplace of the Cascadian Farm portfolio of delicious organic foods. At the Cascadian Home Farm, we grow our crops and protect the local ecosystem using sustainable organic methods. Today our fields are producing mostly fresh blueberries, but we also farm organic strawberries, raspberries, hardy kiwis, peppers, corn and pumpkins. During the summer, our Roadside Stand is open daily - so you can plan a road trip and stop in for a pint of our fresh, seasonal berries or homemade organic ice cream. Trust us, the scenery is beautiful, and the food can't be beat! We've also got luscious shortcakes, preserves and delicious organic snacks. You'll be glad you made the trip.

We came back west down Highway 20 after a few hours hiking the Cascade Pass Trail in North Cascades National Park. My 11 and 13 year olds saw the sign saying "Organic Ice Cream" and we were sold. Great roadside relaxation spot, perfectly placed on your trip back down to I-5, tasty ice cream, great scenery. Also was happy to support Cascadian Farm as we have enjoyed many of their products in the past. If we hadn't already picked 10 pounds of berries the week before we may well have headed into their blueberry patch too.

Great ice cream at a beautiful setting. Fresh veggies and home made goodies. The flower garden is a nice stroll.

This is a mandatory stop for me when traveling over the North Cascades Highway. The location is just right for a snack and "potty break". The farm grows organic blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, which are available in season at their roadside stand. Their specialty is berry shortcake with organic ice cream, but they also have other food and beverage items including coffee.

The roadside "stand" is a small enclosed building recognizable by a unique curving roof, on Highway 20 about 3 miles west of Marblemount, or 80 miles east of Burlington. There are picnic tables and clean toilets. The relatively straight section of highway and wide entrance to the parking lot allows easy access.
