We took our kids here (14, 7, & 5). They all loved it! Going to watch them hand blow the glass is completely free. However you may spend some money in the little gift shop after you watch the glass making experience. Prices vary. The man that volunteers, evidently he does this weekly & loves it, he was very informative and was able to answer a lot of questions and explain the process so even the young kids understand. It's definitely worth seeing! Especially if you're at Jamestown b/c it's pretty much right around the corner, but you do have to drive there. Parking is free.

Fascinating for all ages. This building would be easy to pass buy but it was one of my favorite places we saw in the historic triangle. The process of making glass was beautiful to see and they have a small gift shop with beautiful handcrafted items.

We watched the glass blowers for at least an hour make several pieces. Then we were able to buy a couple pieces right there in the store. I have 3 kids, aged 12, 9& 7 who were mesmerized by the process. One of their favorite memories of our trip.

We heard the Glasshouse was a must-see, and so glad we didn't miss it! We went by after we had been through Jamestown. It was fascinating to watch the glassblowers at work. They've got it going on! We had to buy a couple of souvenirs :)

We spent most of our day at nearby Jamestown and stopped at the Glasshouse on our way out. It’s a small demonstration but very interesting. Watching the blowers make glass vases, etc is very neat. We spent no more than 30 minutes there, but we have 2 young children so we couldn’t stay any longer. Our 5 year old was entertained for one demonstration and our 2 year old old just wanted to run around in the dirt area outside of the House. Probably better suited for older kids, maybe 8+. But do recommend you stop by as it is very interesting!
