Description: Cafe set in a subtropical garden just outside Keri Keri, North Island, New zealand, fabulous place, I spent 3 hours there

Wharepuke restaurant is well known in these parts for its excellent food and attractive sub-tropical gardens. The only problem is the noise: it is little more than a large garden shed and when full -- as it often is -- the decibel level of thirty or more conversations is torture. There are a few outside tables though the weather dictates their usage. The food however, though unquestionably over-priced, is always very good indeed. Recommended at quiet times, if there are any.

I think this will be our last meal here as they are relocating in October. We generally have a dinner here on visits to our Kerikeri friends. Always enjoyable, food is superb and service is warm and friendly.

We came here two years ago on a holiday and returned twice this time. This would be one of my favourite places for lunch ( have not been for dinner). Great menu interesting and fun good daily specials and the cabinet food looks great as well. Service is perfect, friendly and knowledgeable.

Colin has just done a new menu and it's fabulous. Haven't dined there for a few months so was surprised and delighted by the new menu. The lamb loin served with eggplant cheesecake was stunning - gorgeous presentation and really inspired mix of flavours and textures..
Service was friendly and attentive.

Dropped by in passing and discovered this great cafe restaurant serving lovely fresh and tasty food, wonderful flavours, friendly staff. Lovely sub tropical environment. Bread and dips tasty, pork belly and Island fish were great.
