Convenient and comfortable

Not 4 star, Closer to 3.5. Having said that room was comfortable and cozy with killer views. Breakfast was great as were the night time pizzas. We just need good bed, hot shower and toilet and we got all three. Friendly staff and nice family feel. Needs a coat of paint here and there

have been to KI several times and visited many places on the island.
Really like this venue. Visit was pre-covid. but can say that bedlinen was spotless and crisp just as freshly washed linen should be. room was very clean
Love hearing the seals in the evening. Staff helpful. Bed comfortable. Love the pool. pleased to see nearby hotel upgrade. find this venue relaxing and calm. prefer the ground floor rooms overlooking the lovely sea view. Appreciate that staff are helpful but never pretentious and never intrusive. Staff did what was needed or requested and then left us to relax and enjoy the holiday. To create variety re food choices for meals we ate at Penneshaw hotel and occasionally had pizza at the Seafront and found a good place for fish and chips. Tip: bring some fruit, nuts, yoghurt for snacks. it's not the Hyatt but then neither are prices at the level the Hyatt charges. Great place just for relaxing
funny question from trip advisor re is it close to a "boardwalk" = no, but the ocean was just a 30 second walk from room to the ocean and i could hear the waves. so no "boardwalk" required

Room tip: we preferred the ground floor front rooms overlooking the ocean.

The room was spacious. At first, it was found difficult to open and locked. The restaurant was small with limited choices. The popular choice should be pizzas. The morning walk was refreshing and tranquil. The merit was that it was near the pier.

As mentioned in other reviews this hotel is not 4*. The communal areas are in desperate need of a freshen up. The bedroom had a great view of the ocean and the bed was very comfortable. The towels in the bathroom were very thin and not very absorbent. When we checked in the receptionist was not very welcoming, perhaps she had had a long day.

I was a bit concerned ahead of our stay due to some of the reviews I had read about this hotel. When we arrived we were shown to one of the motel rooms which had a sea view. We pointed out that we had booked a villa room and were told we had been upgraded. We did get a villa room when we asked and we much preferred this. These rooms have a separate lounge area and small kitchenette. They do not have a sea view but are nice and airy and have a small area outside to sit. The motel type rooms were smaller and had a patio/balcony. We were happy in the room we chose. It was all comfortable.

I mean. The ground floor double room did serve the purpose and I slept well. Yet I agree with everyone here - it is NOWHERE near a 4-star rated hotel, more like a 2-star motel. I would recommend it if you just need to crash somewhere close to the ferry terminal and you are not after a beautiful/luxurious room.

      What I liked:
      - the location - nearby the ferry. Easy to get to after the ferry journey - it is a 3-minute walk.
      - I actually slept well - the beds were comfortable.
      - The rooms and the bathrooms are super spacious.
      - You get lots of (alias mismatched) toiletries.
      - nice view from our room. I mean there were bins and car parks, but there was a sea view behind them.
      - local beach/shop/restaurants/cafe - two minutes away.
      - fridge in the room - handy.

      What I did not like:
      - the price
      - the room was dusty and the bathroom mirrors were actually dirty :/
      - the balcony was even dirtier - we could not enjoy it at all
      - deco. 10/15-years-old, I reckon.
      - poor communication. On our arrival day I noticed that the room was dirty. I tried to talk
someone about it but noticed that there was no one at the reception. No one told us that it shuts at 19.30. We also did not know how to leave the building that night as no one again told us about the complete lock down. Luckily the next day I found an old directory with an exit instructions.
