The Havering Museum is a celebration of local history and deserves a visit. Much of the inspiration for this idea came from Ian Wilkes a local entrepreneur and fervent amateur historian. Go and have a look for an hour or so.

Staff are well knowledgeable about the history and narratives surrounding the artefacts in the museum as well as incredibly friendly, it’s a great small museum cheaply priced and has an option for tea and coffee and biscuits when going in a group

Run by a truly dedicated team of historians. It is small but filled with exhibits and information. I think we spent about an hour and a half there. They have regular talks on the local area.

I went here today with my son-in-law. Only £3 admission. Carers get in free. The Titanic exhibition was very interesting, with many exhibits from the film Titantic, such as an outfit worn by Kate Winslet - a tall girl. There is plenty about the history of Havering. I was surprised to see how many large stately homes have scandalously been knocked down over the years. Worth a visit.
