We dropped in here for a quick dinner, but were lucky enough to get an order in just before the kitchen closed (8.30pm). We had :
- tiger prawn starter to share - 4 x tiger prawns - difficult to shell and no hand washing bowl provided, but the garlic prawns were tasty enough
- vegetable mix as a main - good
- confit of duck - with assorted vegetables and mash - satisfied me
- glass of rioja and glass of pinot grigio
This is a lovely pub restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the pricing of the food is a little on the expensive side for what you're actually getting. I guess gastro pubs have now found a way to maximise the profits on their food sales. I like this palce but it is pricey for what you get. Mildly recommended.

Great specials board but the menu choice was fab too. My spiced hake was served on a bed of garlic butter spinach with pan fried potatoes. Yummy!
No room for pudding but good choice of teas and coffees. Looking forward to an evening meal there soon.

Pub restaurant which is part of a chain. The food was average with a so called award winnjng pie clearly produced in a factor rather than on the premises. Very small portion of meat in the shoulder of lamb special. On the plus side there was a friendly welcome and nice atmosphere.

We went here today with our daughter, it’s a good half way point as we live in Guildford and she lives in Worthing. It was our third visit here but the first time for a Sunday Roast. As they had no turkey or chicken I went for the nut roast with accompanying vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. It was very good and you can order extra Yorkshire’s free of charge. My husband had the chicken and mushroom pie which was also good. The staff were charming and helpful and it’s an attractive pub. Will definitely visit again.

Food was good, service was brusk and not particularly friendly. Have eaten here a lot in the 20 years that we've lived in the area. This was a busy Saturday lunchtime so I understand staff are pressurised but really felt like a bit of a pain to be ordering food! Usually is okay and food is usually good/average but this time really put me off. If customers are a pain they get the message and don't come back much!
