We wantedto do a wine tour while in Tuscany and found the Fattoria Vitticio tour on-line. Our first attempts to book the tour were unsuccessful as they were participating in a wine festival. After playing around with our schedule, we tried to rebook and were successful. In all of our email communications with the Fattoria, language was never a problem and the responses were prompt and courteous.
On the day of the tour we drove from Selvatelle to Siena and thence to Greve. Our GPS got bumfuzzled (that is a southern expression for being totally lost without a clue) and tried to take our us and our Volvo in places designed for mules not cars. After backtracking (literally) down a hillside, we were told to go all the way back to the bridge and make a left and just stay on the road. We did so and were rewarded with a tour of the vineyards and winery by the charming Lorena. The wine tasting was extremely interesting and flavorful. The wines were superb as were the antipasti. All in all a great time and well worth the trip. Make sure you get a picture of the ceramic black rooster.

Our party recently occupied three apartments of the ten in this complex housed in traditional Tuscan buildings and part of a working vineyard/winery (they started picking and pressing grapes whilst we were there). All apartments were excellent, beautifully furnished with either antiques or very good copies. Ours, Mazzola, had two bedrooms and an eating area which contained table and chairs, a fridge, microwave oven and good selection of glasses, crockery etc. Our son and his family had a small actual kitchen with cooker and dishwasher. Our bathroom was modern with an excellent rainfall shower but sadly lacked a shelf to put soap and shampoo. As the attention to detail is high in these properties we were surprised by this omission. The A/C in all the apartments was quiet and extremely efficient. A bottle of wine and small bottle of oil (both from the estate) awaits each new apartment occupier.
Outside the gardens are beautifully kept, with a glorious large swimming pool giving views over the surrounding countryside. There is a also a small children's play area and a section of the garden with BBQ facilities, including tables and chairs, for two families at a time.
We all had a really lovely time here and are likely to return.

We recently stayed in the Dolce Arrianna suite for 8 nights with our 2 yr old son and it was amazing! When we first checked in we had the warmest welcome I have ever received at a hotel, they made us feel so special and well taken care of. The suite was large, clean and well equipped. The bottles of welcome wine and olive oil were a nice touch. The wine they make at the Vineyard is outstanding, we probably drank a bottle/day throughout our stay. My favorite was the chianti classico and hubby's favorite was the rose. The pool area and grounds are immaculately kept and have a breathtaking view of tuscany. Our little guy loved the little playground and had a blast splashing around in the pool. Staying here, we truly felt as though we were living in a dream; strolling to town between the vineyards for cappuccinos and gelato while enjoying sweeping views of the county side. If you are looking for an accommodation in tuscany, do yourself a favor and book here, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Fattoria Vittorio. This is a working winery with several apartments for guests. We loved the atmosphere of staying here.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Lorena who showed us around the grounds of the winery and showed us our room. She was so welcoming and told us about some of her favorite spots in the area. We stayed in an adorable apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, dining and living area, loft bedroom and an outdoor patio (with a grill).

The winery has lovely outdoor space for guests to enjoy including a beautiful pool area that overlooks the rolling Tuscan hills and has plenty of chairs and shaded area as well. A large grilling and eating area is also open for guests to use.

As a welcome, a bottle of Chianti Classico and a bottle of olive oil was left for us. The Chianti Classico ended up being our favorite in the region and we shipped several bottles home. You can set up a tasting at the winery if you would like as well.

The town of Greve in Chianti is a short 20 minute walk or a very quick car trip away. We walked into town for dinner one night and also walked into town one day to enjoy the Saturday market.

Overall we loved our stay at Fattoria Vittorio and would highly recommend it to others.

After weeks of research, we finally landed up at fattoria vitticio for winery tour and tasting. We paid 25 euros per person for a generous tasting of four wines paired with cold cuts and cheese. It lasted for almost 2 hours - it ended up being longer since our guide conducted the tour in English and Italian simultaneously.

The tour is very informative and the tour guide tirelessly answered all our questions. If you are a red wine lover, you will love the wines !

The added bonus is the stunning vineyard. They have a gorgeous setting and the spring blooms made it even prettier.
