I stayed at Nido dell'Aquila for six days in June. It is located right next to the ski lifts and 15-25 minutes away from the nearest town of L'Aquila. It was my first visit to the area, and I was not familiar with transportation options. My flight from Rome was at 12:45 PM on Saturday, and many of my friends who stayed at the nearby hotels simply cancelled the last night stay, traveled to Rome and stayed there. I asked English-speaking customer service representative about such option on Tuesday. The answer was no, I have to pay for six days regardless of my plans. I asked again, and mentioned that I can write on TripAdvisor about service. Well, the customer representative got mad and started to ask: "Are you blackmailing me?" I could not expect such turn of events, I never had such experience anywhere. After that my stay at Nido dell'Aquilla became a pain, and I was waiting for taxi on Saturday morning to get out of there. Another issue is the hotel wifi, it is worse than dial-up was 20 years ago. On a positive side, people at the restaurant were nice and helpful, and food was good.
