My wife and I booked a suite for a nice 3 day stay. The location is great and the public areas are beautiful but, in our opinion, the bathroom and the decoration of the room are basic. The restaurant, Brasserie 80, is OK but not great. The Spa is supposed to be wonderful but although we tried from the first day, we never managed to get an appointment at a reasonable hour. We had booked a massage (> 24 hours in advance) but the appointment was put back twice because of "mistakes" at the reception. The Spa is shared with the next door Kaila (*****) and the most reasonable explanation is that the clients of that hotel enjoy a priority. Dommage.

This is an excellent Hotel in a fantastic position in Meribel. A stones throw from the lifts, and the ski school meeting places. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was varied and plentiful and delicious. We booked late and so had a room at the top of the hotel. Although it was small it was perfectly formed, and very pretty with a view of the slopes. The only slight complaint I have is this. The music in the spa is too loud. The spa is absolutely lovely, beautiful pool, sauna and steam room. If only the music could have been either turned off or turned down it would have been perfect. We did ask, but to no avail.

La Chaudanne has the best location in Meribel Centre with ski storage across the street at a ski shop, very convenient. The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful, especially Jesse, Emerlea, and Emily. Our first room was on the main street, which was noisy with cars busses and early morning party people, so they moved us to the back, which was perfectly quiet . The breakfast buffet was complete, the dinners very satisfying.
This 4 star hotel is well cared for, the maid service is excellent and efficient. The superior room was very comfortable. Some rooms have glass enclosed showers instead of bathtubs. We would definitely stay here on future trips

We have just returned from our week’s holiday at La Chaudanne. This was our fourth visit over a number of years. We stayed on Half Board. Yet again La Chaudanne excelled itself. It isn’t a cheap hotel but you certainly get excellent value for money.

We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a cake on our arrival. We also received lovely gifts from the hotel on our departure, a wonderful and thoughtful touch.

Room - our room was lovely, with a great view of the ski slopes. The room is kept immaculately clean and well provisioned, a number of times a day. The Nuxe toiletries are gorgeous.

Meals - breakfast is wonderful - a huge range of delicious items available. Dinner is superb. The menu stays the same but with a variety of Dishes of the Day in all areas. There is plenty choice for a week’s stay. Wines and drinks however are very expensive.

Additional facilities - I don’t ski so used the gym every day, almost always had the place to myself. The indoor swimming pool etc is lovely with lots of places for relaxing and lounging. The outdoor heated pool, sauna and steam room, open in the afternoons, is wonderful. Very good for stiff muscles after a day’s activities.

I enjoyed a wonderful massage at the in hotel Spa facility.

Staff - every member of staff across the whole hotel was superb. Staff are friendly and helpful at all times.

Situation - absolutely brilliant for access to the ski slopes.

If we are lucky enough to visit Meribel again, we will be back for a fifth time to Las Chaudanne. Absolutely perfect for a wonderful, special week.
