We just stayed there, and we had a Junior Suite. It was expensive, but really nice. The hotel is in the middle of the town, you can ski down to the lift, and ski back if you are coming from Courchevel or parts of Meribel. If you have to walk back, its maybe 300 yards tops. You can walk to all the restaurants, its super comfortable, great staff.

My husband and I stayed at Le Kaila for our annual ski holiday. It is a truly exceptional hotel. The staff are wonderful. I must mention in particular the manager who was charming; nothing was too much trouble. The service was impeccable even when the whole resort experienced a power cut one evening. Our room was wonderful and the bathroom, and the bathroom products, were luxurious. The ski shop staff were friendly, helpful and provided the best possible service, helping me into my boots and looking after our skis. The hire skis and boots were of an excellent standard. The whole experience could not have been bettered. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms are the rear if the hotel are quieter, although the ones at the front typically have a better mountain view.

Had an amazing three night stay with my wife and both agreed service was amongst the best we have sampled on our travels .

The hotel is tastefully decorated with stylish touches here and there but still maintains a comfortable feel throughout . We were greeted at the front door on arrival , our luggage whisked away for a swift check in and the spa facilities made available for us to change to ski for the afternoon .

The hotel has its own ski shop and a lift which opens up on to a green run down into the lift centre . This all very helpful as it the assistance in and out of your ski boots by the shop staff, one word of warning though is the ski hire cost . It was nearly 450 euros for 3.5 days for 1 full ski and boots set and a pair of skis and poles . We were looking for the full luxury experience and not confident enough with the hotel etiquette to hire from anywhere else , but with hindsight it would have been a cheaper idea !

The hotel has a beautiful spa area and we made use of it every early evening , only negative that water was not complimentary .

Room was luxurious with a large comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the mains Street and slopes . Would have been nice if there was a separate shower or even a means of attaching the shower to the wall in the bathroom so we had to slum it and made do with the just the hand held ! Lots of little touches throughout the stay from lip balm on arrival to the fresh cake as a departure gift . The hotel even provided a complimentary Porsche Cayenne return shuttle to a restaurant on our first night .

The hotel bar oozes warm sophistication and there was a live acoustic guitar singer on two of our three evenings . Do expect 30 euros for a g and t and if that's not your thing you could always try the 30,000 Euro bottle of Cognac available !

Breakfast was good , without being extensive and as commented in another review there is a charge for items you may usually expect to be included in a 5 star hotel . The detox section is a lovely touch and even includes magnesium supplements .

All in all it's a fantastic hotel and would happily recommend or return should we be able to escape our three young children again . Thanks go to to all the staff for a first class experience from start to finish .

Couldn't have asked for more from my first ski holiday. The staff in the ski shop and the hotel, even down to the porter, went out of their way to make us feel special.

We choose an authentic room on the top floor and it was fantastic for 2 people.

Beautiful hotel and food.

Room Tip: Top floor, room 61 won't disappoint. Authentic suite
