This is a must visit place if you are in Maheshwar. Generally, people take a boat ride from Ahilyabai Ghats but you can also drive to the place.

If you have a thing for adventure, I would recommend you to take a bath here. It feels great as there is not much people here, plus the water is very clean and pure. Enjoy!!

translates roughly as "place of a hundred waters", the Narmada River cascades here between rocks and boulders, noisily making its way downstream. It's difficult to reach - you need a car or motor bike, but it is so refreshing in MP to find so much clean water in a beautiful setting! There is a local temple across the road and a nice little chain stand where the chai wallah cranks the handle to fan the coals to heat the milk, tea and spices for the chai. A nice break from the busy-ness of Maheshwar!

While at Ahilya Ghat we saw a lot of boats and people taking a ride. We decided to do the same and approached the booking counter.

There were couple of eye catching options 1. 1000 rs ride for 1 hour and it would take downstream to Sahastrashara point
2. 300 rs ride nearby for 15-20 mins.

We decided to go with the former and it was worth the effort and money. After a 20 min boat ride we could see the still water forming Rapids and our boatman Mr. Keut took the boat to the river bank and asked us to walk down a few meters to experience the Rapids. Recently a kayaking competition was held here so one could see the lane marking etc.

The walk is a bit tough, however worth the effort. We watched the river in awe as as the calm water gave way to white water Rapids. After spending half hour we went back.

If you are in Maheshwar please do explore and experience this place.

Not for only People who are interested in Indian mythological stories, but for those who love nature, sitting peacefully listening to "sound of running water" must visit this beautiful spot near historical town MAHESHWAR. An early morning (long) boat ride from ghats of Maheshwar to this place is a memorable experience (if wind and river Narmada's flow is supportive)
