I would give them a 5, but it was great but the price was a little on the steep side. Most of the food was delicious, especially the crab legs and prime rib.i didn't care much at all for the smoked salmon. The play was pretty good, I like the way they Incorporated the audience into it. It was good for a special occasion.

The set up was in a conference center at Massanutten. There were good hors d'oeuvres, and dinner consisted of a buffet of crab legs, prime rib carving station, chicken & rice, chicken parmesan, veggies, salad, bread and then chicken fingers for the kids. Cash/ credit bar was also available. This was topped off with delicious deserts and coffee. The murder mystery was fun! The actors also came around to our tables to allow us to ask questions to figure it out. Very fun!

We had been to the Murder Mystery Dinner previously and enjoyed the dinner & show. This visit, it was just okay. Not sure that it was worth the $130 price tag for 2. The show was more predictable than the last, but we were at a fun table and the actors were entertaining. The servers did a great job refilling drinks, coffee was hot & appetizers served were a nice start.
The crab legs have been replaced with peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp were good. The fingerling potatoes were too salty, so much we didn't even finish our serving.
Overall, it was an okay experience. We may or may not add it to our to do list next visit.

The food was excellent. There was ample time to get to meet your table, enjoy appetizers and the meal. Desserts were great. We never had to ask for drink refills! Great staff!

The play was a bit melodramatic but truly the butler - Victor was the star of the show! A man of few words, his inflections said it all!

Been to a lot of murder mystery dinners and all have been fun but usually the food is only so- so. The Massanutten Resort does it right! Great for all ages, if only the howling wasn't in my husband's ears!
