Loved the cabins, they were unique and quaint, the grounds were interesting. The meals were outstanding...breakfast comes with the package. Be sure and make reservations for the evening meals. Off the beaten path, just relax. We used the time to visit James Madison's Montpelier.
Pricey...like Blackberry Farms in Tennessee.

Room tip: Get the GPS address before embarking on this adventure.

If you need a getaway from the hustle and bustle of DC this is your place. Very relaxing, lots of outdoor seating/hamocks/tree swing/gazebo. I went on a walk and everything was pleasant and quiet, very beautiful. I stayed in the Uncle Guy's House, decorated in an African theme, it felt modern but still cozy cabiny with a nice jacuzzi tub. My parents stayed in the Overseer's Cottage and loved it as well.

The dinner was good and you get a recipe sampler afterwards if you want to make some of the dishes. There's a swimming pool, jacuzzi, nature walk trails, and horses. The property is older but they've kept it up with renovations and there are new owners (for the past 2 years). All and all a great getaway place.

I can not begin to say enough nice things about Prospect Hill Plantation Inn. I have stayed with them probably 5 times in the past 6 months trying out their different cabins. They are all so very lovely, I am not sure which one is my favorite!

The staff is incredible, they remember who you are and your preferences and are always so accommodating. Very impressive!

I found this gem about 6 months ago and will continue to stay with Prospect Hill Plantation Inn. Not only because it is just breathtakingly beautiful but for the outstanding and accommodating staff and the way they treat their guests. I highly recommend Prospect Hill!

Room tip: A traveler can't go wrong with any of the Cabins they choose. They are all incredibly Lovely and Unique in their own right. Really a Beautiful Place to Stay!

From the moment you arrive until the time the leave, you are treated as a special guest at this comfortable bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Overseeers Cottage, one of several original buildings on the forty acre property. It had a very comfortable king size bed and a little parlor with a sofa and chair. There were nice amenities in the small refrigerator, a,keurig coffeemaker and even homemade cookies awaiting our arrival. Breakfast the next morning was truly gourmet and we decided to have it delivered to the pool area, next to our cottage. You also can have breakfast delivered to your cottage, or in the main dining room.
Our only regret was that we were able to stay just one evening. Prospect Hill Plantation would be a wonderful two or three night stay while visiting Monticello, as well as James Madison and James Monroe homes...all in the area ....you won't be disappointed by this lovely inn, and the Innkeepers will do everything to make your stay wonderful!

Room tip: I think any room accommodation will have its advantages but the cottages are very quiet and private.

Highly professional, as well as warm, staff. Stayed in a cottage with children and all family members were happy during the entire length of our stay. Plenty for kids to enjoy: nice pool, wide open spaces, basketball, animals to view and pet, etc. Very nice breakfast served in a charming room, with special meal requests for children taken into consideration. Good proximity to Monticello. All family members agree we should return, and we will.
