Very nie Hampton Inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful, all seemed to care about us and the hotel, and made us feel very welcome. All the doors (including back and side doors) were nicely decorated and welcoming. The staff recommended dining options that turned out well. The room was pristine. Clean and perfect. All the bath fluids were topped off full, towels were nicely arranged and there were plenty of them. The facility was excellent. Nice stay!
DO NOT STAY unless you like BUGS. I stayed there for 1 night on Thursday 10/10/24. The room is basic and needs bug extermination. I woke up in the middle of the night with bugs crawling on my arm. I grabbed the TV remote and killed one. I jumped out of bed and could not kill the others because the room was dark. I tried calling downstairs and the phone was not working. It was around 3am. I had to get dressed and go downstairs to asked to be moved. (I flew in on the 10th on a red eye and was exhausted) He was apologetic and moved me. However, when I check out the next day the front desk lady did not acknowledge the incident and when I brought it up she said she did see the notes but the manager had to leave and was not able to call me. The she told me what a great job they do cleaning the hotel but sometimes bugs go upstairs to the rooms. OBVIOUSLY it has happened before. I was more shocked and grossed out. 4 days later I still have not received a call from management that both front desk people assured me I would. They need bug extermination. I would NEVER come back I'd rather sleep in my rental car. First post ever!!!
This is a lovely hotel is most all ways. The real issue for me is they have no wifi in the NEW lg tv's. Somehow they have disabled it. Not kidding. In 10 yrs of travel to some really remote places only China and the Christiansburg Hampton block wifi so you can't use a streaming device. Wifi works on other devices but I like my firestick! I even had them bring me a factory LG remote, still nothing. If you like cable and commercials, this is the hotel for you!
I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and the management in this Hampton is terrible. Upon getting home from my trip I checked my cc bill and saw they charged an extra $250. I called the hotel only to find out it was a smoking fee. Well, I Don’t Smoke! I spoke to assistant manager Chloe. She claims there were ashes all over the room and they had pictures. I argued my case to the assistant and general manager Andrew and they still refused to remove the charge. They also said they would send the pictures and they never have. At this point it’s a matter of principle. I have since contacted my credit card to have the charge removed..I was told if they (Hampton inn) get a chargeback I will be on Hilton’s fraud list! So just make sure you take a video or pictures before checking out off this hotel.

Newer building. Clean, well-equipped double-bed room (TV, microwave , mini-fridge, desk lamps, coat closet).
Quiet area - highway noise is blocked by a steep hill.
Small pool for family (was closed).
Large fitness room.
Coin Laundry room.
Large breakfast/TV lounge.
Good breakfast (not fancy) with too many items to list.
Everything worked as it should!
