Overall stay wasn't bad. Didn't enjoy the people drinking in their cars right outside our room blasting the radio but for the price and location to where we needing to be it wasn't the worst. People should stay in the office longer as we needing to redo our room keys for some reason and waited like 20 minutes for someone to arrive.
I have never written a review before, but I have never experienced a hotel room such as was found here. Bugs were swarming the room so the front desk manager came in and started spraying the air in the room. He then proceeded to hand me an electric bug swatter that cautioned "high voltage risk of electric shock". The A/C did not work - record high heat that day - so he brought a floor fan to the room and set it on top of the other bed.
I’ve lived in Christiansburg for 17 years and recently moved to FL. I had to return for work and decided to stay here because at first it seemed like a good idea. WOW was I wrong!?
This was the worst hotel stay I have ever encountered, and I’ve stayed at some ratty places. Some actually had rats!
While Super 8 didn’t have rats (that I saw) they did have bugs, ants, a pool that was out of service, TV that didn’t work, broken ice machine, noisy drunken guests smoking outside our door.
It sucked to stay here and I wish I could have a complete refund for the hell my wife and 2 year old had to endure while I was working.
Stay anywhere but here!
was fine for my short stay--only negative was no towels in the room-but was an easy fix--lots of people hanging out on walkway but I was in my room most of the time so no problem
Very nice reception. When we got into the room fridge and tub was dirty. Called front desk and the front desk lady came and immediately cleaned them for us. Comfortable beds, very quiet. Only issue was that at breakfast no staff was seen and only offered waffles, toast or cereal.
