Great place to ski, (down hill and cross country), eat and relax. Great little town, enjoyed the accomodations, and the fireworks thursday night. We had a great time at bootleggers, band was playing alot of our favorite songs.

We loved the condo, the friendly staff, the family activities and the skiing. My kids became better skiers and we had great family fun at Bingo, karaoke and more. The Set up for a family could not have been better.
Thank you for the five star Smugglers' Notch review, Thomas! So great to hear the staff was friendly, the family activities and the skiing were excellent and the family setup was perfect. We look forward to having you back.
Outstanding! We had a fabulous week! Great service, warm friendly people and great facilities! We had a 10-month old baby and a pregnant mama in our group as well as three avid skiers. There was something for everyone!
Thank you for the outstanding Smugglers' Notch review, Julia! It is great to hear you found the people to be warm and friendly and loved the facilities with your family. We look forward to having you back to see the kids grow up skiing here.
Skiing is weather dependent. My family went after a “cyclone bomb” hit the east coast. All of the runs were icy. I’m a green run/slow blue lady and my two boys are adrenaline junkie black diamond skiers and learning boarders. The runs felt much like those of northern WI and MN- icy and short. There are no lockers or places to store gear on site- it has to be lugged back and forth on the transit system daily. With the boys carrying both ski and boarding equipment ; check in and check out was a beast.
The accommodations were luxurious. The lack of powder was almost balanced by the wonderful full sized kitchen, bath and in suite laundry.
The “spa” was in a windowless cinderblock basement. I’ve never curtailed a service before, but the young woman doing my lavender service had such bad breath that I couldn’t bear being touched any longer. I am embarrassed at having asked her to please stop the massage; she was very nice, she even tried a breath mint. The locker room looked like a refinished 1970s YMCA with stalls and concrete flooring.
I hope the community re-does the spa.
My sons each took private lessons in snowboarding. The first day my youngest (11)didn’t mesh well with his teacher. He got the sense the teacher was disappointed and impatient with him. The snow school easily gave us a different instructor the next day.
A mixed experience.
Thank you for the feedback, this is valuable information! It is great to hear you found the accommodations luxurious and sizeable at Smuggs. We do have some lockers in the Madonna Base Lodge for your next visit and will revisit the spa and ski school experience with you privately. Thanks again!
