This hotel is quite old it seems. However, it was NOT "worn down" or gross or anything. The lobby was nice. The breakfast was just OK but it was still good (just a total lack of options). The drinks machine wasn't working but the staff kept juice bottles cold and plentiful. The Black lady working the breakfast area was INCREDIBLY nice and responsive to customer needs and should be lauded for her attention. #PersonnelFile
For those with a big moving truck and towing a car, there's almost no room in this individual parking lot, but the spill-over between this and the Courtyard by Marriott is ample, well-lit, and provided a nice spot for parking. There aren't a lot of eating options right there, which is fine if you have a car but harder if you've parked a big vehicle like we did. Our option was Cracker Barrel and this individual Cracker Barrel was terrible.
One thing: on check in, there's a wheel spin to gain prizes. I got 1,500 Marriott points. Not a lot. But still cool. I told the gal and showed the gal but she didn't acknowledge that it was done because of the other question I had when I checked in (where I should park). I later told her to not forget. She wrote down my room number. A week later and nothing is there still. That's disappointing.
