As a part of my Mother's Day gift, I enjoyed this superb establishment. Now the 6th family to live in this stately home, owner Linda has been here since 1980. She and her husband are very gracious hosts that have taken great care to meet the needs of their guests. They pay close attention to details.
Each guest room is themed after an author. The Shakespeare suite with it's hidden room, houses the bed Mic Jager had made for his daughter. It is upstairs and very comfortable.
The entire house and grounds are beautiful. I am so glad to have this treat and hope to return in the future.

My husband and I stayed at the Chaska House while we were in Waxahachie for the renaissance fair. The Gatsby room was beautifully decorated with antique pieces, a very comfortable bed and the biggest jetted tub I've ever had the pleasure to soak in. Everything was neat and clean. Our hosts were a fabulous couple that we enjoyed visiting with over the wonderful homemade breakfast that they cooked for us. If we have the pleasure of returning to Waxahachie, we know where to stay.

My husband and I were married at the Oddfellows Lodge in Waxahachie this Earth Day and stayed here that night. We stayed in one of the retreat bungalows and it was the perfect way to relax and de-stress after all chaos of wedding planning/wedding day. The Jacuzzi was just what we needed, and the bed was lovely- the best sleep we'd had in a month. Everything about the property and the owner's is beautiful. We didn't want to leave. I can't wait to visit this comfy, unique,peaceful, romantic place again!
