So for Easter bank holiday me and my friend booked this apartment to have a couple days break. On arrival we were greeted but then told we have to pay €150 deposit. Be wary, that you have to clean your apartment, take out the trash and only get housekeeping every 7 days. You are not given extra toilet tissue during this period neither.

We had a lovely apartment but the fridge was faulty and there wasn’t any hot water. So we were upgraded to another apartment which was bigger but also encountered another problem of tv that wasn’t working, which is a shame really. Then again offered another apartment but we chose to decline for the lack of time left in Salou.

The staff are friendly, very helpful with calling taxis, pointing us in the right direction to attractions etc. The apartments are situated in a very populated tourist area, a 12 minute walk to the beach. Lovely local supermarkets with great staff and discounted prices. Not many bars/ pubs are open late in this season which is a shame really for people under 30.

BusPlana is close by for trips to Barcelona/ Valencia and other close by venues but a heads up, book in advance, these are popular trips and get sold out quickly. Be sure to check out Boca, Boca a lovely bar/ restaurant that’s local.

All in all, it’s good to check the apartment first before paying the deposit. You want to be comfortable. The apartments are spacey with lovely beds and a great cooking space. Hopefully August will be the best time to visit! Enjoy!

Room was supposed to be Superior (would hate to see a basic). TV had no English channels. We were Bed and Breakfast, how toast or a chocolate bin constitues breakfast is beyond me!!! We had to do our own recycling and take our rubbish out to the bins round the corner on the morning of departure. Wouldn't stay here again

lovely location. Good walk to the beach only 5-10 mins depending how fast you walk. Lots of different ways to the beach and a nice beach but busy. We just returned after a week weather lovely and apartments near some nice restaurants. Pool to cold to go in (October) no sun on the pool till late afternoon. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Things to be aware off is the 150 euro deposit per apartment which is to be cash or they take card details if you refuse you can be asked to leave as we were told. Also we booked for 2 adults and an infant only to then be told we have to pay 7 euros a day for a cot as this is not included...NOT impressed. Room nice and air con in the living area and bedroom a bonus. Nice bathroom but maid service is only once a week. Internet very slow, did not work most of the week.
Overall a nice stay .

Thankfully, I've returned home from Les Dalies Apartments. I am not exaggerating when I say, this complex is the worst place I have ever stayed.
On check-in, we were told we had to wait 15 minutes for our apartment to be ready. After about 40 minutes sitting there waiting, we were finally checked in. We were asked straight up for a deposit of €150, which was never advertised in the booking. If they are expecting travellers to pay a deposit, this really does need to be advertised.
When we got to our room, everything went from bad to worse.
I'll start off with the facilities. Only ONE person can use the Wi-Fi at any given time, which in 2017 is ridiculous. The first room (I'll get on to that later) we were provided with came with no kettle, three chairs(?), a table, a bed that could double as a brick, a sliding bedroom door that was off the hinge and the filthiest cutlery and dishes I have ever come across. The bed came with two blankets, one that had blood on it, and another that had other human bodily fluids encrusted on it. The room was filthy and there was about three weeks’ worth of dirt on the floor. I spent the first half an hour of our holiday sweeping the whole apartment.
At this point, I went down to reception and asked the man there for clean blankets and showed him the pictures of the state the blankets were in. He questioned whether the blood was mine, which was an insult. I told him he could come up to the room himself and see that it had been dried in for quite some time and he could also see the dirt for himself.
He did come to the room and took his own pictures, but told me I couldn't have fresh blankets until the morning. He gave a half-hearted apology and left. He said he would inform his manager but never did I see or hear from any manager.
Things went from worse to atrocious. Nowhere is it advertised that the apartments are next to the main dual-carriageway in Salou, so the road noise is deafening. There is also a complex across the road that have entertainment at night, so if you have a front facing room, that is all you'll be able to hear until late, which isn't ideal when you've been travelling from 3am. We went down to reception again at this point and asked could we change rooms, and we were told we could pay for a superior room, but not until the morning. We wanted to check-out then and there. After somehow surviving the night without any sleep, we went down to reception in the morning and explained to the woman there that we were told we could change to a superior room the night before. We paid our €30 and were told that we could move immediately.
Things went from atrocious to me wondering how this place has not been condemned. We were given our "superior" room that morning and the first thing that hit us was the absolute stench from the pipes. For anyone wondering what it was like, if you stay in this place you will get random smells of sewer in the outside areas. This is what our room smelled like the whole time. For whatever reason, the window in the bedroom also didn’t open. We also found that the sink in the kitchen leaked anytime we washed the dishes. As reception were reluctant to help at any moment, we just decided to get a can of air freshener (which was empty when we left), keep one of our towels under the sink in the kitchen, and try our best to persevere. We had to keep the bathroom door closed the whole time as whenever anyone else around us flushed their toilet, we could smell it too... The bathroom also has no window or extractor fan, so this definitely did not help. The cleaners came once in the whole time we were there, not that the cleaners made any effort to keep the place clean in the beginning.
As our flight was a late flight and our transfers weren't picking us up until late afternoon, we asked at 10am the morning before, for late checkout. We were told then we'd have to ask again later. It wasn't until 4pm that we were told we could have late checkout and it cost €35.
Finally, checkout came, I handed the helpful man from the first night the key cards and he replied, "you can go now", so it literally felt like I had served a week’s sentence! I never felt so much relief leaving a holiday in my life.
Just a quick end note, they also charge you your €150 deposit if you do not empty your bins on checkout and you are expected to empty your bins yourself at the end of every day, though they only leave one bin bag.
If you have made it this far, do yourself a favour and do not spend your hard-earned money here.

Dear katy, We regret to learn about your bad experince with us. Our establishment is well considered in Salou, and also our staff and service, for this reason we were really surprised and unhappy reading your opinion. Our reception staff was also surprised becouse they weren't aware of your enormous dissatisfaction, and we apologize for not being more efficient with your complaints. We are very sorry we could not afford your expectations and we are going to keep on working to improve our Hotel and services. Yours sincerely.
