Booked a week's half-board stay at Kaya and we were not to be disappointed.

The hotel has direct access to the 'pistes' and it also close to an ESF school if you need lessons for yourself or the kids. There is also a very well equipped ski rental shop attached to the hotel which makes things really easy as the shop staff will deliver your rented equipment directly to your ski locker in the hotel's basement.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the restaurant and every evening we were presented with superb menus to relish after a day's skiing. Besides the gastronomic menus they also offer mountain favourites such as raclette and pierrade. The food is not the only winning point at the restaurant but it also the young, friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

While we did not avail of the SPA facilities, we enjoyed the good-sized indoor pool.

The only minor point where there could be some improvement is the room WiFi access which is very clunky even for low bandwidth applications and also disconnects every 30 minutes per default. This could be due to the local ISP limitations but we had much faster connections on remote resorts in the Indian Ocean.

After a couple of years not visiting Kaya, we came back this year as this has been our favorite place in the alps. Owners/group has changed since the last time, so we were curious to see what had happened.
We booked a junior suite with an extra room with bunk beds where we planned to have a baby cot for our daughter.Unfortunately the room was too small for that.
The suite itself is cosy with nice bathroom with big bathtub and shower and toilet is separate. We also had a little balcony overlooking the skiing area and valley.
We got a suite where we had to go down a steep set of stairs down to the suite itself and that is not recommendable if you bring small kids.
They have a nice swimming pool as well as spa area. The treatments are very nice. The gym is very small and has a poor choice of training gear, but the hammam and sauna are nice.
After they changed owner, we feel that the quality has become a bit inconsistent and not sure if this will stay our favorite in the alps, but all in all a very nice hotel with great access - ski in ski out - to an awesome ski area.

Wifi is free, but you have to log in every 90 minutes and is not very strong.

Good rooms for family, seperate room with bunkbeds for the children. Ski in ski out big skiroom. Food oké to good, nice winelist. Village looks nicer than Val Thorens but not as lively as Meribel or Courchevel. So perfect family place, no apres ski night life to speak of. Value for money? Skiing always expensive in the high season

It was our first visit to the resort and my first experience of a ski resort. We we're very impressed with the size of the room we had and the cleanliness of the hotel in general..the restaurant in the hotel does try a little too hard though. All the staff were very friendly and would stay here again
