We stayed here from 28 March 2015 to 4 April 2015. The location is fabulous. True ski in ski out from the boot room and close to all the main amenities in Plagne Soliel.

As with most self catering apartments it is functional as opposed to opulent but certainly met with our needs and expectations.

We paid the supplement and went for the seven room apartment (two adults, two children staying) and the extra space meant we weren't living on top of each other.

With it being truly slopeside we also skied home every lunch to give the children a break and to eat.

There is no conventional oven or toaster but a toaster can be obtained by a small deposit. The staff, from our very limited contact, were friendly and approachable and the rooms was as clean as could be expected.

I have slept in comfier beds but as I'm here to ski I can live with that and for the price it is certainly excellent value.

If we returned to Plagne Soliel we would stay here again in the seven person room

I'm giving this a very good mainly because we had such an amazing holiday. If you fly to somewhere like Chambery then the transfer is quite quick, less than a couple of hours. In reality, and when you first arrive, the apartments seem very small, dated and really basic. We initially had misgivings but once you get your stuff unpacked and remember that you are there on a ski holiday, and shouldn't need to spend much time in the apartment, then it all comes together.
The apartment has an electric hob, a kettle, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge. You also get a welcome pack with 5 dishwasher tabs, a sponge, a couple of tiny washing up liquid bottles, a cloth and a tea towel - enough for us for a week although we did eat out a lot.
When you arrive I recommend that you head out into the square in Plagne Soleil and stock up on stuff at the Spar. They sell all the essentials as well as fresh bread and croissants. You only get one or two toilet rolls so you'll need to take or buy some of those.
You get a paper bag to put your recycling in and a black bag, in a bin under the sink, for general waste. There are bins out front, in between the two Mont Soleil blocks. It's really interesting watching these being emptied. The bins are really deep and built into the ground and a crane lifts them out to empty them!
The apartments have a boot room on the ground floor and you get your own locker for your own room. It does get crammed if you have a number of snowboards and pairs of skis and there are no boot warmers, so you have to store your boots in your room.
The only usable radiator in the apartment (for drying clothes) is in the bathroom. You need to turn this on the control underneath it. As soon as you get in you need to start drying gloves and socks etc.
There was always plenty of hot water for baths and the shower was okay too.
We found the place incredibly quiet and never got any noise from rooms either side. On a couple of nights there was rowdiness at pub kick out time but nothing too bad and it never woke the kids.
The apartments all (I think) look out onto the piste and the location is unbeatable. You are literally on the edge of a great blue run that connects you with Plagne Centre. Note that the bottom of this ski run, near the Bergerie chair lift, is actually quite steep, more like a red run for about 100 metres so be careful on your first run down. Most of the ski schools start at Plagne Centre and the quickest way to get there is to ski down the blue run (Ecartee) and head to the chairlift on the left at the bottom. This takes you a short way up paste the Le France building and drops you off nicely to ski down to Plagne Centre. So anyway, on your first day, if you kids aren't strong skiers then you might want to consider getting the bus and the telecabin to Plagne Centre and try the blue run on the second day once they have their ski legs. Saying that though all three of mine made it down on the first day and it was on the second day that my youngest panicked a bit... Once they have the hang of it though it is a great run.
There is a free bus that leaves next to the metal steps (across the main square where the restaurants and ski hire shops are) every 15 minutes or so that takes you to Plagne Village across the other side of the blue run. From here you can get the free Telecabin down to Plagne centre. The connections were always spot on and we never had to wait long for a bus. Whenever we got the telecabin back from Plagne Centre, there was always a bus waiting to take us back to Plagne Soleil. Maybe we were lucky.
There are a few good restaurants and bars in Plagne Soleil. Monica's bar is good for piste-side hot chocolates. The Cap Nord is okay for a crepe but they also have an outside sitting area with heaters for a drink on a sunny day. The Pizz'allo pizza takeaway place is very good and the pizzas are excellent. You can have a sneaky beer there while you are waiting.
All in all basic accommodation but made up for by the amazing location.

The appartments are in a very good location in Plagne Soleil on the edge of the piste, with very easy ski in/ski out.
The apartment is adequately furnished, and the kitchen well supplied, except for an oven, but does have a dishwasher.
Overall a very good apartment at a reasonable price.

We have stayed at Le Mont Soleil many times and have been totally satified until this time.
Somewhere either in an apartment above or below us was a howling dog. Night and day it howled setting off other dogs. The reception was unhelpful with this problem, suggesting we call the police in the middle of the night and locate the dog(s).... Maybe we were unlucky...... We love the resort but will choose other acommadation next time!

Room Tip: Views are lovely and look out over the piste and mountains

The residence is very well located, really ski-in/out and with a very good sun exposure.
The check-in/out procedures were very quick and efficient and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The apartments are cozy and comfortable. However, there’s no hair dryer available in the apartments which is really unexpected in this type of residence. We could loan one from the reception for 24 hours, after asking for it during 2 consecutive days.
The equipment of the kitchen corner is OK, but it has no oven.

Main problems were related to the internet wifi. It requires an extra payment; at these days, in an accommodation like this, this is expected to be a default commodity. But worse than having to pay 25 € for the family package week, was the quality of the service: consecutive authentication errors, especially in the android devices, leading to a very annoying experience.
