Sadly, Olive garden has removed MANY fine dishes from their menu over the past 2 years. can you imagine - going to an ostensibly Italian restaurant and NOT being able to order Sausage & Peppers? And to get plain flour pasta (not wheat pasta, which is usually like eating shoestrings) with Alfredo sauce, you have to order it "special" -- and add a meat of any kind? Fuhgeddaboudit!
But, that's every Olive Garden now, so on to Garland - Firewheel...
Service - Fair. Waiter was reasonably cheerful but not too attentive; nor was he aware of, or helpful with, a glaring error (which I will get to in a minute).
Food - Good (not great). They've simply toyed with the menu too much. Yes, you can get bowl of pasta and tomato gravy with meatballs, but they've just gone too "Tuscan". and this location seemed to struggle with any "off menu" requests.
Atmosphere - Good. It's an Olive Garden, they're all the same. This one wasn't particularly loud, not full of obnoxious people, uncontrolled children or screaming babies -- so it was pleasant.
Presentation - Bad. They made a mistake in the selection my wife had made; it was taken back to the kitchen, but instead of remaking the dish, they simply corrected the error and then returned it to her IN A TO-GO BOX! At the table. That's what they served her meal in. And the waiter thought nothing of that -- no comment, no apology.
Bottom line -- my next visit to this location (assuming they remain open) will be Never.
