Room was great, staff fantastic, the view of the gulf from our fourth floor room was awesome. The shorten happy hour was fun and we used the patio area out back and it was very romantic. The breakfast was very delicious!

Room was clean and sanitized. Room had 2 queen beds and was spacious. Breakfast was pretty good especially healthy choices. It is within 2 minutes of UTMB. You can request an ocean view. The location is right across from the beach.

The room was very spacious and the kitchen was perfectly adequate for simple meals. Full size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishes, pots & pans. The hotel is across a 5 lane road from the beach—but since the hotel is on the corner, the crosswalk is convenient. The hotel has a basketball court and the swimming pool has a large 8” deep kiddie section. No hot tub. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Jennifer, the kitchen manager, made our stay during the challenging power/water/ice days so very pleasant. She provided an island of refuge and comfort.
This hotel does not only provide a WARM breakfast and WARM snacks (including beer/wine) during social hour when most other hotels send you on your way with a granola bar. Jennifer added another level of comfort and assurance to an already great set up.
Jennifer baked fresh breakfast items while working the front desk, answering the phone, making reservations, directing ambulance drivers and managing the kitchen crew. It was quite lavish, the spread they provided, considering that most grocery stores and restaurants were shut down. Jennifer provided great comfort food and unrelenting optimism.
When we had no water, Jennifer carted buckets of pool water to flush the toilets. That task was done in pouring rain, during almost freezing conditions. Wow! Thank you, Jennifer, and all the kind and competent staff. Your hotel is on the top of our list.

Room tip: Great view of Gulf of Mexico and tankers/ocean liners. Across the street from a sandy beach. Less than a mile from the FREE island ferry.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Galveston should be a 5 Star hotel because the GM and her staff run it as such, ive stayed all over the world in delux 5 Stars hotels and it is almost at those levels....
