We had not been here in some time and driving through Boerne we decided to stop for lunch during COVID.
We were able to park easily and as we entered noticed they did have floor marked for distance as well as had seating spaced.
The employees were wearing masks.
They were very busy and most customers were wearing masks when not at their tables. They do have covered outside patio but bit too hot to sit at noon.
We were able to order timely and cose the Combo Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries ($9.29 with an up charge of 50 cents for these fries) and a Cheeseburger Combo with regular fries ($8.99) The combos include a drink as well.
Most available seating was taken but we found a booth open.
For as busy as it was our order came timely.
The meals were a good serving but the wheat bun with the chicken got soggy really fast. The fries were good and the chicken was grilled nicely. The burger was very good and they were both prepared as requested.
The drink station was self serve as was the napkins.
Right after we ordered, they had to temporarily close the doors as there was a water leak. The bathrooms were clean but they had to put towels down in the ladies as water was seeping it.
We did notice though a table that the customers left, an employee came and cleared the table BUT they never wiped or disinfected it:( So another customer easily could have sat down there and been unaware.
We wiped ours with an alcohol wipe when we sat down not knowing whether they were sanitizing between customers, which it didn't appear they were.
Since they had closed the doors several employees were standing around talking and could have wiped the booth/table down but we never saw any doing this while we were there.
This is the reason for a 3 rate rather than a 4.
