Checking in process is horrible. Waited in line for 35 minutes. There were no luggage carts available. On the second day, our room keys did not work and we had to wait in line for another 30 minutes to get the keys to work again. The other guests were noisy and loud with children running in the hallway. The snack bar prices are too high..8$ for a hot dog!

The hot tub was overwhelmed with young children jumping into the hot tub. It was dirty and lukewarm. There's no lifeguard to patrol it and enforce rules. The pool water was a little chilly too.

We here at the Wilderness want to apologize for the issues you experienced on your last visit. Check in times are difficult when many of our guests show up at the same time. We strive to get everyone checked in as quickly as possible. At any time if you have issues with noise during the quiet hours, be sure to call the front desk and they will have security come and check it out. We have someone on duty 24 hours a day. The issue you discussed regarding the hot tub has been referred to the director of aquatics.

We continually work on improving our facilities and processes and construction comments and feedback like yours helps us to see what is working and what needs to be worked on. We hope you will give our facility another opportunity.

First time going and the best part is we only booked 1 night. They have found every way possible to inconvenience you. You can’t even get a towel in a water park without standing in a long line and presenting a towel card after you have stood in long lines for everything else. The breakfast Easter Buffet was nothing impressive and cost over $70 for a family of 4. I could go on for ever but I’ve wasted enough time there. We’ve been to many water parks, my expectations are low but this one was just awful. We went to Dollywood Resort next where they go out of their way to make thing easier for you. Save your money and go there.

The Wilderness is so happy you and your family had such a great time. We look forward to you returning to enjoy the resort when all the waterparks are open for the summer.

For the second time, we brought our son to Wilderness at the Smokies for spring break. We didn't have quite the same experience as last year, but we still had a pretty good time. This year our bed was not as comfortable as last year indicating that the mattress probably needs replacing. The bed pillows were awful. They do provide plenty of towels and some really nice soap and shampoo. The arcade is expensive for the kids to play with some games costing 12 credits per play. The waterpark was fun, but for a facility specializing in a year round waterpark, the water is really cold. The seating in the waterpark is inadequate for the number of people there. We ate at the Hungry Miner, as we did last year, but the food quality has diminshed and the wait staff all acted like it was their first day. The Hidden Trail was a completely different experience with great food and a wonderful wait staff. Yes, we had a good time and yes we would likely return, but with other facilities opening, we might not look as hard at Wilderness at the Smokies.

This trip was great and better than expected. Checking was a breeze...we arrived at 4:00 and checked in at 4:30. The coupons books they gave us for free was a big help. The food is pricey so I suggest getting a room with a full kitchen and bringing your own food
