We stayed for 2 nights this summer with my 2 daughters. The whole experience was fantastic.

The unit was clean, every single item in its place, spacious with privacy and plenty of things to keep kids busy. Kids loved the spa & pool as well tennis court & cubby house with toys.

Went for run and later for drive within the property, which was a awesome experience for us.

Good location, genuine hospitality and great unit. Highly recommend it.

As a family of 6, we stayed very comfortably in the cottage over the Christmas holidays. The accommodation is spot on, the pool and outdoor area are fantastic and Ingrid and Graham are charming hosts.
We had a fantastic time here, stunning views and when coming from the UK, it is not every day you see a kangaroo from the kitchen window.
Wouldn't hesitate to visit again or recommend.

This place is amazing. It is the second time I have booked to stay and meet up with family here in this idyllic retreat. This working farm is tucked away from nearby Yarra Junction and has lovely views and great accommodation. I'll be going again sometime. It is perfect place for family reunions if you are like us and spread around the world and need a place to meet up and stay together.

Room Tip: A variety of individual accommodation and very peaceful.

We managed to choose one of the wetter weekends possible to stay at Langbrook and ride the Lilydale-Warburton rail trail. Despite the weather, it was a lovely stay. The farm and property are beautifully maintained by Ingrid and Graham - as Ingrid said, they love the property and it shows.
Guests have the use of swimming pool and tennis court as well as the option to explore the farm. The furnishings and facilities within the cottage were comfortable and spotless and Ingrid more than happy to chew the cud with us.
Lovely setting - seemingly a long way away from the big smoke while not.
Look forward to trying out that tennis court next time around.

Thanks so much for your review Rebecca! Hopefully we can put on better weather next time. Glad you got to experience the Warbie trail anyway. All the best to you both.

My family stayed in "the cottage" just over a month ago. We have a 2.5 year old boy and 10 month old boy. This was such a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful getaway from our townhouse in Hornsby. On the first night when we arrived it was incredible just to experience the complete stillness and silence of the farm with 100 times more stars in the sky than we are used to at home! On the first morning, the vista of the rolling paddocks and the sound of distant "moo-ing" all around, was just breathtaking.

Ingrid and Graham (the hosts and owners) made sure we had everything we needed, including a portable cot for our baby boy! There was free wi-fi that we could access from all the rooms which meant we could still watch the kids shows at night before their bedtime. On two of the mornings I got up early with my 2.5 year son and we followed Graham as he drove the tractor into a paddock to feed the cows. You can imagine how thrilled (and a little scared) my son was at seeing a real tractor and real cows. A lot bigger and louder than in the books!

The temperature at night gets a LOT colder than in Sydney, but the cottage has a combustion fireplace and a reverse cycle air-conditioner. We loved having the fire going at night, but really the air-conditioner was doing most of the work and made the place very cosy! My wife and I spent a fair amount of time by the pool reading while the boys were asleep. But unfortunately it was the wrong half of the year for swimming!

Finally I would point out that there are a lot of attractions around for young families. In the week we stayed there, we went on the Puffing Billy steam train and visited Healesville Sanctuary. I can't recommend this place enough for those families that are used to the hustle and bustle of city life and just want to experience the serenity of a working farm for a holiday.
