From start to finish it was terrific but let itself down by not offering free tap water, which I believe is illegal in Victoria for licensed venues that supply alcohol for consumption on-site.
It is a poor decision to taint an otherwise promotable experience by charging $4.50 for water on top of a min mandatory flat charge of $90 for a 3 course meal on the queens bday weekend (we happily upgraded to the $110 incl wine).
Moving on from the water, everything else was first class and worth the money. The service (excellent maitre d and very good wait staff) was prompt and effectual, the food was excellent, the view of the ocean is spectacular, the area is scenic and the drive from Melbourne is easy.
If not for being gouged on the water I would be telling 10 of my friends to try it out as we speak.
