The museum is set in a great location overlooking Amlwch port which is still a working port.

There is plenty of parking, disabled access and it is well sign posted.

There is a cafe on site which is mainly why I visited.

The cafe serves home cooked food with good portions and very reasonably priced.

All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We always pop in here on those rainy days, stop off for a home made scone and latte or hot chocolate. It's dog friendly, plenty of space inside, a big (but basic) car park a few minutes walk away, and great views of the harbour. The little museum whiles away a few minutes while waiting for the food. Scones are home made on the premises that day. Cash only at the moment while they get wifi.installed.

Interesting, but a little pricy for what you got. But ,all in all, pretty good. Staff were knowledgeable.

It would be so easy to pass by this amazing piece of history. An uneven car park and no facilities of any kind hardly attract the casual passer by: but this place is fascinating. Make sure you take strong shoes and decent clothing to protect you from the elements. This is a must visit site for anyone who has an interest in industrial or social history

Car park could do with doing up, apart from that fascinating place, would have loved to have more time here and a better day
