My wife and I , whilst driving The NC500 , stayed in this hotel. On arrival we were speedily checked in by " mine host " Stuart and shown to our room. I should mention the room was really large with a sizeable en suite. The furnishings were of a very high order. The weather being fine we sat outside and enjoyed the view of the impeccably maintained grounds.
Our evening meal was a delight. The food and service were of a very high standard. Stuart , although very busy , managed to circulate and have a chat with all the guests.
As the evening wore on silence descended apart from a few songbirds!
All in all an excellent stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were in Room 14.....lovely room with a 4 poster bed.

Absolutely amazing. Very elegant but makes you feel at home. The room was sparkling clean, everyone was very friendly, and the grounds were fun for a stroll. Make sure you take a trip to the local waterfall.

Me, my wife and two friends visited today for lunch and were delighted with the experience. We had been past the road end for this beautiful country house hotel dozens of times but never ventured forth to the end where the hotel stands. The house is of a style typical of the early 19th Century, although thoroughly and thoughtfully upgraded to meet the challenges of the 21st Century! The 3 course meal we enjoyed was of a very high standard with service and staff to match. This isn’t the sort of place you would nip into for a pie and a pint (although I am sure you would receive a similar welcome if that was your desire!), but for an occasion or a venue where you wish to receive high quality food and service, then there are few establishments in this area that can match this. However, all this comes at a price and you should expect to pay for this level of quality. We had an excellent experience here and will be saving hard to return as soon as possible. A big thank you to Stuart Macpherson.

We recently stayed for 3 nights DBB on our first visit. We loved everything, stunning quiet location and gardens, beautiful bedrooms and great public rooms with relaxing atmosphere. Food and service are also excellent. Great care is taken in ensuring a comfortable and relaxing holiday. There are lots of nice places to visit nearby. Looking forward to next visit.

A tremendous find of a hotel on the road between Inverness and Ullapool. It is an old house hotel with all the grandeur that you would expect from a highland hotel. The staff is very friendly and we even met the owner's dog, Bella, and took her for a walk with us to Rogie Falls. The walk was a leisurely 2-mile walk from the hotel and the falls are breathtaking.

The restaurant and bar are delightful and the food for dinner was really special and fairly priced. The service, portions and quality ofr the dinner were first class.

Room Tip: Depending on your preference, you may want to ask for a larger bed. We had a double which was pretty small for the 2 of us.
