After just arriving in St Helier in the evening we tried this pub as it was the closest to our accommodation, it seemed fairly quiet and reception was on the cold side by "mine host"
They did say we could dine even though we had no reservation, fair enough.
Both me and my partner ordered burgers, they came out well presented, to be fair mine was a little on the well done side but my partners was charcoaled bordering on black. As we were both famished we attempted to dine, I ate most of mine (fabulous chips) but my partner stopped at half a burger. When the waiter asked if we had finished we informed him on the burnt meal, he did apologise and would inform the chef, on settling the bill no apology from " mine host" and no reduction for the meal.
Yes we could have complained straight away but we were both tired and hungry and how hard is it to cook a burger???
