Just returned from this B and B for a weekend away visiting a friend who now lives in jersey

Cracking little B and B...yes it’s a bit dated but for the price you can’t complain.

Clean rooms...good breakfast...very close the beach and town centre.

If you are just wanting a place to sleep this is ideal for you!

Just what we needed

Thanks

Stu

Ok here’s the problem with jersey...you can’t build anywhere on the island by law so it’s hard to find hotels etc. This is made harder by residents lodging for decades in their cheaper places to get their quali to become a jersian. Essentially there are limited options for someone looking for a bargain. This is certainly an option.

The owner does a great job and the breakfast was fantastic...worth a tenner on its own! The room was comfortable and it’s located near the beach and city with a 15 minute bus route on the road adjacent.

The reason I can’t give it the perfect five is because it’s tired and needs a revamp. I mean the shower looks Victorian elegance. The bathroom was tiny in general and some things looked old. There is more dark wood furniture than in antique shops and it just feels dated.

I would still stay here again and it was a real bargain.

We stayed at the Thalatta last week and were very happy with the accommodation, a big thank you to the staff there who were welcoming and provided a safe, clean guest house. As other reviewers have said, the decor is a little dated, but the location, breakfast and clean rooms outweighed the decor. We would definitely stay here again and if you are on a budget, really consider this. We felt like we had a very proper seaside holiday in an old fashioned seaside guest house. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday.

Room tip: Rooms at the back will be quiter. There was a lot of noise from outside (people on the street, cars, etc) and in the hotel (noisy guests).
