In order to help support local businesses during this difficult time, we again tried our luck at the King Street branch, and was AGAIN disappointed.
I was aware the staff were in thew process of heating up a pinini for a customer and so having selected a cheese and ham croissant from the chiller cabinet, I asked the staff to heat the item up. I paid and waited. The rather rude and stroppy female member of staff just mumbled 'something wrong'. I asked her to heat the croissant up as before, and was told because I had handled the outside wrapper, she couldn't touch it, and so no. I explained that there was no notice on display to this effect, and she failed to mention this when I purchased the item, but she just shrugged her shoulders !!.
So having asked for a refund, she struggled to arrange it, and did so with hostility. Then when I left, she said in a rather raised voice 'and I hope you have a lovely day to'.
There is absolutely no need whatsoever for rudeness or sarcasm.
The company just don't learn. I walked around the corner to another cafe, and not only was the food, cheaper and very well prepared, the staff were lovely as well.
I would avoid this place at all costs, even when things go back to normal..........They are just RUDE.
