One of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. Powdery sand and crystal clear blue water.

It’s easy to park and just a short stroll down from the car park gets you onto the beach. It’s so quiet the kids just could run free. We had it entirely too ourselves.

You just need to prepare yourself for the strong Atlantic wind.

Caught up with this spot at the end of a long day of road tripping. Sun was heading for the horizon at the mouth of the bay. It was a delight.

Wide long sandy beach protected by a spit of land. Sheltered from big waves today certainly.

Beach was nice and clean, some adjacent parking.

Definitely worth the stop if you are passing through.

The beach is one of the nicest i have seen in Ireland... the day we visited the beach was beautiful, sun shining and lovely and warm. The water was super clear and the sand a lovely bright colour.
Looking forward to going back next summer already.

It takes a bit to get there and you definitely need someone who knows the area to find the correct narrow road to get there. There is not much parking. It is an impressive, large, fine grain sandy beach with different colored greens and blues in the water reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Didn't try to go in the water but my guess is that it is cold water. There are large rolling sand dunes and pastures to walk but with all the openness to the ocean, be prepared for the ever present strong Irish wind! It must be great in the warm weather!
